Grand River Seafood Restaurant

This one of our go to Chinese Restaurant. It's not fancy but it's clean and spacious. It's easily accessible and there is ample free parking. Unlike most Chinese restaurants where loud ambient noise and bustle is the norm, this place is surprisingly "quiet". The service is quick, efficient and unobtrusive. Although our last server - a young lad - has the nickname "Annoying Kid" on our bill, he was far from annoying! Ordering was easy. Some versions of their menu was Chinese only but they should have English versions available - just ask. The food comes fairly quickly. They quality is good - definitely above average. We like it that the food is less salty and oily than a lot of Chinese restaurant fares we have been experiencing. Their dim sum selections are excellent. In this day and age of rising prices, the prices here are really reasonable. Chinese restaurants seem to be notoriously not well ventilated. The best thing about this restaurant is that I don't finish my meal and come out of there smelling like I have been working in the kitchen all day long,

Great food amazing service! Game to eat Dim Sum, very delicious! The spring rolls weren't too oily, the Shanghai soup dumplings had a few ripes but still tasted good. Probably one of my favourite dim sum places in the city!

When my friend and I arrived the server basically grunted at us while he showed us to our table. The server then dropped off a pot of tea , but didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink...I don't drink tea. A single man came in and while he was seating the man at a table near us. the server was talking on his cellphone the whole time, which I thought was rude. After we had our food the server put his coat on, sat down at a table on the other side of the room put his head down and went to SLEEP!!! We had finished eating and so had the man at the other table and the server was sleeping. After waiting a few more minutes my friend banged her chopsticks on the table and the server WOKE UP! The food was so-so, and the service was BAD! I've been in a lot of restaurants and I have NEVER seen a server sleeping. Don't waste you time or your money!

A great spot for authentic Asian food, the food had great taste. A good spot if you live in surrey and don't want to travel far for some good Asian food.

My family went to this restaurant for Dim Sum breakfast at 9:30 am. . After being seated we were told right away that we had only an hour and a half to eat. We were confused at first to why they told us that. There was only one other table in the whole restuarant ...so it wasn't even busy. Rather odd thing to say to us when we had never been there before and why would they assume we were going to spend all morning there. Otherwise, the food by the most part not bad.
