Motel 6 Eau Claire WI

I stayed here for a week. The room came with a refrigerator which was nice. The TV was an old tube style tv from the 90’s. The furniture and bedding was also probably from the 1990’s. The room was clean and very reasonably priced. Bathroom was clean too. Easy access to outside doors for smoking or to go out and get dinner for a while. If you are looking for a really cheap motel room that is halfway decent, check out this place. Not a bad room, just a step back to the 1990’s!

The local police were in and out of the motel all night waking up guests looking for a man with an arrest warrant! Unfortunately, they were VERY loud throughout the entire night and I was woken up a total of SIX times-- and, as a result, hardly slept. I know that this was not the fault of the motel staff, but nonetheless, it made for a very undesirable stay. Additionally, all of the lights in our room did not work, and there was no hot water in the shower. On the contrary, the front desk attendant was very nice, and the room was fairly clean.

Omg! ......you can do better than this! This is one of the worst hotel 6 I have ever stayed in. VERY outdated. There was one outlet with 4 sockets available but all were being used by hotel TUBE TV and lights and stuff. Halfway to room smelled as if someone pooped in the hallway. The bathroom in the room is so small you would have been more comfortable if you did poop in the hallway. The beds......oh the beds.....so horrible. It was like laying on a boxspring......the bed is nothing but springs. Checked in ,went to dinner,came back,sat on the bed and then went to check out because the beds were so bad. They would not refund money because we were there "to long". Never again motel 6 never again!

Booked with priceline and checked in. My husband and I were both present at check in. Only I was asked to present my id. We were out in room 112. When we opened the door it was freezing.the heat was literally turned to off. We cranked it to 90 which is as high as it would go, took a shower and left for dinner. We arrived back to the hotel around 11 pm. We got in bed and turned on the tv which said there was an issue with the service so we called the front desk. The gentleman said there was nothing wrong with the tv and he could switch us rooms. As we told him, we were already in bed. We asked for a slight refund on our room instead and was told the manager in the morning could do that but he wouldn't. My husband asked for the guys name so we could call corporate. He told him if he didn't like it he could leave the hotel. My husband hung up after saying we were going to bed. An hour later the gentleman called back to our room demanding that my husband bring down his id. We took it to the front desk obviously irritated. My husband put it on the counter and slid it over to him. He looked at my husband and said my hands right here u can put it in my hand. My husband said I'm not touching you my id is on the counter. The gentleman named Don would not pick the id up. He told us that he didn't like my husbands tone of voice and that he no longer wanted his id he wanted him off the property, but I could stay. He then threatened to call the cops. We left the room we were in for an hour. I called in the morning and was told the manager would do nothing for me unless I brought her the video I had from the night before causing me more headache. I would never stay here or recommend it to anyone!!!!!

Below is my original post. I do have to edit after my stay this time. I've noticed my bill is higher then what was quoted. Noticed this has been going on with my stays all year. What you bill make sure they charge you what your quoted.... Other then that its a good hotel and great for traveling with pets. ------------- Low cost and you get what you pay for. Great for travelers with pets. Staff was great. We had a few minor problems at check in but it was not staff fault it was due to a new computer system. The rest of the stay was great.
