Le bistro-bar jazz le plus couru de Montréal vous offre 7 soirs par semaine des groupes locaux live ! Depuis 20 ans, Modavie vous propose une ambiance feutrée et jazzée pour un repas en bonne compagnie où le pastis est roi ! Seven nights a week, live local bands take the stage at Montreal’s hottest jazz bar and bistro. Modavie’s spirited setting encompasses two intimate floors and sets the scene for a night of great tunes, top dining and generous pastis toasting. The bistro’s far-reaching wine menu hits just the right notes and helps round off succulent lamb, fish, beef, duck and inspired pasta dishes.

Most attentive staff I’ve seen in a while - service was top notch. Atmosphere was amazing with a romantic/dimly lit vibe and a different jazz band plays each night of the week - they’re very talented and it’s not so loud you can’t hear the person next to you (unless you sit front row). There were a few building pillars that could block your view but luckily you can request your seating area - a nice touch. Food: my duck and wild mushroom risotto was cooked well and very tasty (5/5) but my family’s steak and fries were 4/5 largely due to the fries (likely shoestring from frozen). Expect to spend min $60 per person with app, main, and drink. Overall quality was fantastic and we’ll definitely go again.

Amazing experience in Montreal. Great live music, super delicious food and extremely helpful staff. Before arriving in Montreal i called them to set a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and they really did their best to accommodate and please us. Thank you Lorenzo for everything! If you want a perfect dinner , this restaurant is the place to go. Perfectly cooked lamb chops and salmon fillet.

Cute restaurant. Food was excellent. I had the lamb which was really good. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed. The service is also very good. A little on the pricier side. However I found it to be worth it given the portion sizes were pretty good and the service. I would recommend this place for sure to anyone going to Montreal. They also have a really good selection of wines.

I came in for lunch, the food was very good! The ambiance was very nice and there was a lot of detail in the decor overall. The people were nice! The food came fast and the menu was simple and easy to understand. I’m very satisfied with this place and I will return in the future.

First time eating at this restaurant and was very impressed. The service was nice and quick and the food was beyond compare. I ordered the Lamb Cavatelli and my friend ordered the Rack of Lamb and couldn't be any better. They specialize in lamb and highly suggest ordering a lamb dish. The live music was also a really nice touch! Overall a great restaurant and is highly recommended!
