If the kitchen is even 1% as gross as the bathrooms were, I'm likely to see my meal again soon. Floors and tables inside were gross, bathroom looked like it was last cleaned in 2021, diaper changer and stall lock were broken, service was next to nil, burgers were smothered in ketchup with one tiny pickle on each, and the fries were burnt. Just as I was leaving, I could smell cigarettes from the kitchen. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.
I have had the worst experience with this location on January 8th,2023. I stopped off the highway after leaving my hometown of Davenport, IA to return to Urbandale, IA and ordered nugget meal with Cookies. The order was so freaking cold and manager on duty told me that there was nothing that he could do because their heater or fryer etc was currently not working. I called and spoke to a very nice Hispanic man that says he was asst manager and very apologetic offering to send out a couple vouchers in which I never received them so I called back and the head lady manager said she will send them out, still never received anything in the mail. 4th time calling back the head lady mgr told me that the assistant manager sent them so that's why didn't resend them and I explained that I haven't received anything and realizing now we are a month into the complaint. I finally received 2 free meals over a month later on 2.9.2023 and on 2.16.2023 my husband tried to use one of the cards to be told that they aren't any good. Now I'm really upset so I call back to the West branch location to speak to a manager at 150pm on 2.16 and explained to this mgr the issue and asked for someone other than him, he told me it was a slow day and no other mgr available so when I asked for his name his response was WHAT DO THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING????? I asked for him to repeat and he did telling me that he wasn't going to give me his name in which I thought it was very unprofessional. I can see why this location is only at a 3 star because the staff is very unprofessional. I called the corporate office and lady named Santoria was even worse. McDonald's gots to do better and stop this madness. Do not visit the West Branch, iowa location because there are so many ppl not caring about you or their business
So unsanitary! It only takes a few minutes to clean the tables and floors. I wish I would have paid attention before I placed our order.
This place looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years, absolutely disgusting. Had to wait a good 15 mins for our breakfast as well. One of the worst McDonald's I ever seen.Food: 3/5
For years, we had always enjoyed eating at this McDonald's. But this time, it had been redecorated inside and was not very inviting. We could have lived with that, but when our cheeseburgers arrived, the patties and buns were slightly warm, but the cheese was stone cold. This was inexcusable and, sadly, we will not be returning.
Although the filet of fish sandwich was hot, I ordered it with no cheese. It had cheese. Once again, ordering french fries at a McDonald's in the middle of Iowa get you cold french fries. I don't understand they should be cooking french fries at McDonald's 24/7 365. There should never be cold french fries served at a McDonald's anywhere in this country. Most of the time i come here its great, but sometimes, and especially last time the service was so bad i had to leave. I was trying to order food at the driveup and whoever it was said hi and i started with my order to realize that they had apparently just walked away from the mic without telling me. Probably 5 minutes. But felt like longer.
Never ceases to amaze me how easy their job is yet always find way to screw up. The purpose of a menu is to see exactly what the customer wants. Now, if you gonna provide options then not give the customer what they want, what is the purpose of the menu then? Anyone who says McDonald's or a similar job is hard has never worked hard a day in their life.
They crossed all ice cream off the menu and according to the lady at the drive through they don't have any non carbonated drinks except water and milk. They didn't label the cheeseburgers so I had to open each one to see who's it was. Fries were cold and container didn't even look full. Such a disappointing visit. My family was just driving through on the way home. Glad I don't live there so I never have to go back.
I have to say they did pretty good I got the number 7 which was two cheeseburgers and I needed both of them made differently and they actually got it right so I was very pleased as was my granddaughter.Food: 5/5
