They are a little different from other Cantonese dim sum places. Their menu items have a mix of northern Chinese cuisine and dim sum dishes from the southeastern part of China. Overall speaking, they do not try to be traditional. From tableware to ambience to food, they go in their own direction. The best part of them, to me, is that they have Cantonese speaking servers. Ownership is obviously a Mandarin. I liked the glass fettuccini , a cold serve with carrot, green onion, cucumber and sesame sauce. Light but filling. The worse dish in my opinion was red chilly oil dumplings. The chef has interpreted wrongly , and the dish turned into probably a Beijing style dish, sour and chilly sauce with dumplings For the curious, order it and see if you agree with me.
Came here when it was spotted prawn season. Tried it a variety of ways. all were good. We had lobster and BC crab. Crab was a bit over cooked. The owner gave us panda buns at dinner which was a nice gesture. The house special fried rice was well seasoned as well. Double check the price before you order as they overcharge for some items
We went on a quiet weekday morning so the service was quite good though. Before we decided to make the visit, we all set our expectations that we may be paying more on food presentation, good vibes and fancy decor than the food quality. It turns out the food quality was not too bad, we did enjoy the dining experience here.Food: 3/5
Was here a few months ago to celebrate a bridal party. Food was just okay not worth what they were charging. Service was terrible... They only catered to mandarin speakers. If you only speak English they wouldn't take care of you the same. Unless you go up to them they didn't come to the table. I tried speaking Cantonese got a straight up "no understand"!
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Food was scrumptious and filling. Portions were really big. The dessert was cute as well. We were able to bump into MC Jin at the same restaurant. It was definitely an unforgettable night!
Visited here because I saw that it’s a newly open place and a lot of foodie seem to reviewed it and said it was good. We made reservation and when we got there they told us a specific table was getting clear and will be ready for us. Then the friends of the manager or server came in and took our table, sat down. So we had to wait a bit longer for another table to be clear, so if their friends comes, expect the table to be given to them first. The water / tea is just warm, not hot at all. The food was alright but in Richmond with the same price point there’s more options. The truffle lobster rice roll had no lobster, it was shrimp. Also very limited parking on the ground floor, you can try upstairs parking. The menu is really odd, can’t really tell what you’re ordering… they should add some photos. I wouldn’t return.
Came here with a group of 6 to try out all of the different items on the menu, and we all really enjoyed the experience. It’s definitely not ‘traditional’ dim sum, but the flavors are amazing and the presentation is quite unique. Overall, I really liked their menu and would recommend it
I though their dim sums are just good at presentation, but I was wrong. All dim sums are very tasty. You can try every single thing by ordering a nine kinds of dim sum. Oops forgot to take pics of satay squid and soy milk rice roll cuz their presentations are just ordinary as usual. For me, I like the satay squid. Its portion is large but not spicy at all. BTW all servers are very nice. The manager is very talkative.
Read a lot of good reviews of this new restaurant & tried it out today. When the first dim sum arrived, we knew right away we’ve gone to the wrong place! Any deep fried dishes need to be served hot, this dish of deep fried taro dumplings arrived colder than lukewarm. Haven’t had just terrible dim sum before. The fried dough noodle rolls were not any better. The fried dough was oily & not freshly made. The lobster dumplings was the only dish arrived hot & tasted good, but it actually tasted like shrimp instead of lobster. Service was not good either. Do not recommend.
Very nice atmosphere with a 100" TV. Food is very delicious and quality of the food is great. Service was not too bad, they might had been short staff but still good. Price is a bit more than other places but the quality makes up for itFood: 5/5
