We stop at the Lochsa Lodge as often as possible even though it's not very close to us. We were there last weekend with a group of 10 people as we rode in with mini bikes and stayed the night. The cabins were clean and well kept but the reason for this review was for the service we experienced while checking in and for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We had two different waiters and the service was exceptional as well as the food. The waiter on Saturday night asked if we would be joining them for breakfast, which we did. We walked in the next morning and they were already prepared with a fully set table and the waiter the next morning gave us just as good of service as we had the night before. These days, finding good help, and especially good service is getting harder and harder to find. I wish I had gotten both of their names but unfortunately I did not. Great job everyone and I hope this review is seen by the guys that gave us such good service. It was highly appreciated!
If you love peace and quiet like we do with a huge portion of delicious food, cozy feelings, and friendly people - then the Lochsa Lodge is for you. If you want to spend your entire stay at the Lodge that would be enough, in my opinion, but you’ll want to venture out not far to the hot springs nearby a short hike or I hear there’s excellent fishing and rafting on the Lochsa River. Maybe our next visit will be in the winter. Wonderful experience!
I love Lochsa Lodge. I love the cabins. Love the Hotsprings. However, the nighttime waitress/bartender lady could provide better customer service. She was rude to my friend and I about the drink selection and gave us our drinks 10 min after she served our meal. The guy waiter in the morning was friendly.Rooms: 5/5
Location, Lodge setting with restaurant, bar, cabin rental…so peaceful, beautiful and perfect! We stayed two nights and knew we were having a wonderful time…exploring…and coming back to home base at the Lodge. But now, we have returned to our home…and miss the experience twice as much!!! We will return! Dustin made our visit…restaurant…bar..directions…history…local experience..everything…..outstanding! What an outstanding, positive, pleasant force of nature…all in one person! If our experience was wrapped up in one word….amazing! If our experience could be reflected in one person…Dustin!! Thanks for making our first visit awesome! Brad and Autumn Cox. And Pepperjack…our Cocker spaniel!
A beautiful spot. Really warm welcome and the lodges are fabulous and the whole space is peaceful and quiet. Great food in the restaurant too. Would highly recommend. Rooms: 5/5
Good food, great service, nice little cabin but best of all was Snickers! I believe that was his name. A local cat that came to say hello and join me for a afternoon nap. The sweetest and cutest mountain cat in the worldRooms: 5/5
We enjoyed some food after a nice day outside! Great place to relax after a fun day!Service: 5/5
I have been coming here for 20+ years. My wife and her family have visited every year for over 50 years. The new lodge is much bigger. New owners from 2021. Mike who has run the shop for 13+ years is very knowledgeable of the area and great to see him still there. Prices have skyrocketed for lodging. Starting to reconsider as at $230 a night is significant for what you get. Will blame Covid, but staffing is too light in the restaurant. Wait times are high. They have a couple of new waiter staff that are excellent and truly want to serve. A couple of others it's clearly just a pay check! Breakfast is not as good as it was. Undercooked hash browns, over cooked bacon. However the lunch and dinners were excellent. Portion size is great. Just finished staying here for a week. Pro's - The scenery is fantastic, good lunch and dinner offerings, rooms are always clean. Opportunities - breakfast, gas price $5.49!, Ice machine is always out, cabin prices high. There is a secondary seating area that appears to be closed off for what looks like an Etsy business. Got grilled for walking back there. I remember the good times with family sitting back there on the couches, having a cold drink, taking in the atmosphere. Now it's plastic totes and a grumpy lady saying it's off limits. Shame. Sure I will be back as fishing the Lochsa river is must. Staying in the electric loop for $20 is looking more likely with a stop up at the lodge for a cold one and dinner feast.
Stopped for breakfast good restaurant staff with menu and coffee. Complaint water glass came to the table with dried on ketchup ? Breakfast consisted of eggs sausage and hash browns. The eggs and sausage floated in the surplus oil that the hash browns were soaked in not impressed with kitchen staff with these issues sorryLocation: 4/5
Great place for lunch. We had the best server Larry and a really good Fiesta salad. Beautiful log cabin.Service: 5/5
