One of our favorite places to get away. Part of the campground has power, if you are lucky enough to get reservations in early. We don't live too far away and sometimes we just run up the road to escape the heat.

This is beautiful campground along the Lochsa River set in the forest so there's lots of shade.  Plenty of trails lead down the to the river and it's a short distance to the Lochsa Lodge if you want a great meal.

Very nice host when I stayed here in 2012.  Close to river but few campsite are actually on river.  Not really a problem because you can find a path to river.  Being so close to lodge makes it a nice place to camp.  I woke up in the morning to pine cones dropping on my tent.  They were dropping from over 35 feet above, continually,, what are the odds the squirell or chipmucks picked that tree to drop them from.
