LOCALz on Marine

What a stellar location on Marine Drive two minutes from the #WhiteRockPier. The food is great, interior is bright, fresh and new with wonderful chalk art on the walls. The staff is very friendly. On a sunny day the patio is the leave to be. I'll be back.

LOCALz on Marine Drive is only a name change. Same great owner. This NEW, up-and-coming restaurant has very good food and for me it's about the new experiences and not the same old. The kitchen has an excellent chef that actually came by and asked "how was your meal". Good job and we will be back. Thanks .....

Fresh look, friendly staff, local craft brew, good food. The bacon Mac n cheese is amazing! We will definitely become locals at Localz!!

Stopped in for a quick bite after a wonderful afternoon beach stroll. The beer was cold, the food was fresh, and service came with a smile; thanks Kat! Pictured is the avocado and toast, chicken fingers with fries, and a cold sleeve of Moosehead

This was the first time that I used this restaurant and will be my last. There were two of us and although the inside of the restaurant was empty the two servers seemed to be running around doing nothing. The 10 or so outside tables were being used and I guess because they had alcohol they got priority. Our meal did not come at same time. my companion was half way done with hers by the time I got mine. Never was asked how our meal was. Because the service was so slow we decided to order our dessert early in case it took time. We both ordered the mini donuts and ice cream. We had been done our meal a good 20 minutes and still waited for our dessert. Server kept going past saying it will be right up. I asked for take out cartons for the rest of our meal and took forever to get that. Finally my companion gets her dessert but I don't get mine she said it would be right up. 18 minutes later I get brought a bowl of ice cream. I said where are the donuts? She had drizzles of syrup on hers mine was plain. She said they were coming. I waited to eat the ice cream as I knew the donuts would be hot but finally decided to eat the ice cream as it was more than half melted by then. After the umpteenth time of saying it was coming right up she finally brings me my dessert and tells me she was the one who had made the mistake she thought I had asked for a sundae. How do you get sundae from an order of two portions of mini donuts and ice cream? She said she wouldn't charge me for it. I didn't eat it as I had already eaten the other bowl. I finally tracked her down once again and asked for my bill. When she finally shows back I looked and noticed I was charged with both desserts of donuts and ice cream. I said I thought you were not going to charge me for your mistake. She said oh I didn't charge you for the ice cream. That was the one that was my mistake. Yes but I am not eating this one I ate the regular ice cream as it was already melting. She tells me she is sorry but it had already been rung up and she couldn't change it. By this time we were just ready to get out of there. I finally had to ask her for my copy of the bill and she said I gave it to you. I said no you gave me my copy of the debit slip I want a copy of the bill. She was totally flustered of why I would want that. In over 40 years of eating at restaurants in my adult life this is the first time I left without even a token 10% gratuity. Not worth it.
