Lobster Burger Bar
"Lobster Burger Bar opened its doors in Waterloo August 2021 Located in the University Plaza to offer an elevated comfort food experience to a diverse Clientele. The launch is indicative of how fast food menu items such as burgers and fries are appropriated to serve more luxury-focused markets. This move does not only necessitate the revamp of traditional burger recipes, but it is also a design-forward approach to presentation and higher-end ingredients. Deemed as “elevated but approachable,” the dinning space boasts fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers.“Food and Hospitality is what we breathe, execution is what we live for""

My family and I had a very good experience here to celebrate my mom's birthday. The food was delicious and the menu had a lot of variety of seafood and beef dishes. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were very filling. The restaurant has a modern industrial vibe with very interesting decor. You can see lobster cages hanging from the ceiling. Bathrooms were very clean. My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. We ended up spending about 2.5 hours here, mostly waiting for food, dessert, and then the bill. Overall, good food experience if you don't mind waiting around a little bit. Parking: Limited parking as it's a very busy plaza
Had take out here and couldn't decide on one so I got both the classic lobster roll and the crispy shrimp and lobster roll. Both were okay but the crispy roll was a tad bit better. Lobster meat didn't taste sweet and fresh and felt like it needed more flavour. It left me feeling unsatisfied and the price is also a little more pricey.. and I've had my fair share of lobster rolls. Also, we ordered lobster fries supreme but it was very underwhelming. It hardly had any lobster pieces..probably 5 pieces and the fries dry. However, service was quick and staff friendly. Not sure if I'd be back but definitely would've liked to see more fresh lobster at a restaurant that has lobster as their main feature
The lobster roll was actually really good, the buttered brioche bun was amazing and it had lots of lobster meat. However, for $18 that's all you get, no salad, no soup, no fries. If you are looking for a snack, it's amazing. If you are looking for a meal, it's not that, make sure you add a side. My wife got the lobster chowder, which is described as a thick creamy chowder on the menu, and it's definitely not thick or creamy. Also had very little in terms of potatoes or lobster. Our friend got the Mac & Cheese from the pasta section, and the serving size would have to be considered a kid's meal at best. Overall, the lobster roll was the only dish of the three that had any quality lobster in it.
We absolutely loved it. The lobster roll was good and the bun delicious. I tried the lobster bisque and was good but not top. The supreme lobster fries were to die for! The spices...wow. the only negative thing I found is that the cheese was not melted, stayed in chunks and I believe that it was because in general the food was lukewarm, even the bisque. My boys had the crispy shrimp and lobster roll and they loved it. The service was excellent!
Lobster Burger Bar is an interesting restaurant concept which didn't quite execute. I really wanted to love this place but the food wasn't a great value. The lobster in the lobster roll was a bit rubbery and undersized for the price. The plus side was the staff were friendly and attentive. Parking: Large parking lot
Enjoyed the oysters. Mac and Cheese was interesting, but not a good main. It would have been better as a smaller side. Lobster roll was excellent! Fries were over seasoned, but the gravy was also very good. Atmosphere was nice, but the menus were a little dirty.Food: 3/5
Very nice layout and we'll maintained, the service was great and the manager/owner even came out to great us. Menu had decent varieties and I wish there was more options for shrimp or other fish items rather than mostly the burger or sub. Appetizers are huge and loads of fries with both our meals. Was a great way to treat ourself though, ok to that much once in a while.
So glad I was finally able to try this place out. I got the lobster combo. Lobster roll was yummy. Lobster itself was yummy but small. Lots of work getting every morsel of meat out. Didn't care for the lobster bisque too watery but they graciously changed it out for a creamy seafood chowder that I loved at no extra charge. I don't think I'd get the big combo again. I'd love to try other items. The service was amazing. I look forward to going back.
Very good service and friendly employees. Place is clean, and the portion is also good. Recommend the lobster burger with onion rings. They also have a wide choice of sauce. Update: Really hope they can have more things on the menu, we go there every Thursday night and probably will finish their menu in this semester...
Beautiful and unique atmosphere, we went for an early dinner so service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the crispy shrimp lobster roll and the lobster meets meat burger, both had good flavour and the fries were cooked well! Also enjoyed the Newfie slush drink. Overall would recommend.Food: 5/5
