Food not bad but just remember almost everything has a Szechuan Spices on it. The Pork, Chicken and Lamb Skewers were good especially with white rice. Nice atmosphere to come and chill with friends.
Great Sichuan cuisine restaurant! Love it! The pork liver is the best! Reasonable food size and serve fast. The restaurant gets busy starting around 5pm during dinner time. One FYI though: it’s not easy to find the restaurant, it took us some time to locate it in the mall, hope there could be a clear sign somewhere in the mall so it would be more friendly for ppl who go for first time.
This place was really busy and everyone else seemed to be very happy with their food. I found everything too salty. Almost every item was very mala, especially the crispy fried pork which we got with no spice. Other than the mala I personally don't like, the crispy fried pork was great. We ordered pork belly that said it came with 4 skewers but came with 6 for some reason and came so quickly that it was slightly above room temperature. We got extra spicy and it was very spicy and extremely mala. On the opposite end, it took almost 50 minutes for the cold cucumber appetizer to arrive at the table. Service was non existent where we had to ask for enough napkins for each person and no one spoke a word until they were asked a question so we didn't know what they were putting down. The three servers were also really hard to flag down. The eggplant was good and was faster than other restaurants that are known for this. It was crispy on one side rather than all the sides but it wasn't spicy or numbing but still had flavour which was nice.nI believe if you like numbing and saltier food with minimal service, this would be a great choice as it's less busy than similar restaurants.nThere is a 5% cash discount.nnTo find it, enter the mall, go up to the second floor, and take the hallway across from the corridor that leads to the other building.
The chicken pic2 is sweet instead of savoury some people prefer savoury over sweet, so if you don’t like sweet flavoured kung pao chicken then this is not the one for you…. The pepper stir fry aorta was too salty, but I’m sure it will taste much better with white rice. Skewers were not as good as before, too much seasoning and I could barely taste the meat. It was just powdery and salty. Overall, it was okay!
Very authentic Sichuan-style Chinese restaurant, haven't tasted so good and spicy dishes in years yeah, because I live in Montreal ! We family of four ordered almost 10 dishes and ended taking home 4 boxes of leftovers my two young adults sons loved them so much and kept asking for more dishes Definitely will go back again when we visit Toronto this fall for another university event!oh by the way, the restaurant is on the second floor of the mall, if you plan to go but couldn't find it from outside
