I visited with my friends to try their AYCE dim sum and had a good time. The weekend lunch price was $31.99 per person. We booked the table via Yelp, but it was relatively slow around 1pm on Saturday. The restaurant wasn't hard to find, but it was on the second floor. There was enough signage to help me find the entrance. The escalator wasn't working, but I was able to walk up to the restaurant. The wide-open double doors were welcoming. Inside, the restaurant was spacious and had a clean look with marble floors, light-coloured wood, and turquoise leather seats, which stood out. The tableware was generally clean, although the plastic dishes were somewhat sticky. Unlike other dim sum restaurants, this one did not have communal chopsticks, which was a small thing but something I would have appreciated.nAs of July 2024, their promotion was $1 extra per person for adding AYCE hot pot and $1 extra per person for unlimited drinks. The server pressed us to decide on what we were going to add before being seated. This was due to their needing to set our table system, but I found it a bit inconvenient. We decided to just get the dim sum only and pass on the hot pot because ordering the hot pot broth would cost extra. However, we did pay $1 more for the unlimited soft drinks because a pitcher of any drink would easily cost us $8. I would say their complex pricing structure was not clearly communicated, and I would deduct a star for this alone because we could not have planned all of this ahead of time. There was a 10% cash discount available.nDa Hu labels each table with a code and allows ordering electronically using a cellphone via the QR code on the table. Their online ordering system had categories on the left and items to order on the right. It was helpful to see images of the dim sum. We basically ordered one of each, and in a few minutes, the dishes started coming in. I appreciated how, whenever the servers came to serve the food, they greeted us and also took away empty plates. They were very diligent.nI must mention that dining in gives you access to their self-serve sauce and salad bar. It had most of the sauce ingredients you could expect from any hot pot restaurant, and an array of cold side dishes. I especially liked their Chinese pickled cucumber, which was a good chaser after their deep-fried dishes. However, due to it being lunchtime, many items, like sliced peaches, weren't available. Also, I thought that missing the plum sauce was a big miss on their part because their spring rolls were very good, and there was no sweet sauce to complement them.nThe dim sum was overall satisfactory. Shrimp dumplings, Siu Mai, spring rolls, and chicken wings were some of my favourites. Their soup dumplings weren't great, and their curried cuttlefish also came with large chunks of potatoes without warning, which I did not enjoy. We ordered quite a bit and ate our fill. One thing I did not like was that their dessert options were mixed in with dim sum in a seemingly random order. I wished that they would be separated for ease of ordering.nAs for the unlimited drinks, I enjoyed their large selection of teas and beverages. Ordering tea gave us the whole pot, which was a lot. In the end, I ended up drinking Coke Zero, which came in cans.nThe washroom was interestingly located outside the restaurant and in the building. It was well-maintained and clean.nOverall, I had a good time eating delicious dim sum to my heart's content. The quality of the food was good, and the value of the meal was good as well. Their complicated pricing system was hard to understand and not very well communicated, and other small things meant there was room for improvement. I would recommend AYCE dim sum for those who want to fulfill their fantasy of eating a wide variety of dim sum in one sitting.
Food quality was delicious! We ate till we couldn't eat anymore!nnThe restaurant is on the 2nd floor, so you'll have to take the elevator or the escalator to get there. Where you're there, you'll be greeted with a wonderfully lit view and oriental aroma.nnThe furnishings of this restaurant look high end. And overall, a pleasant place to go for Hot Pot!
Large hot pot restaurant offering a large selection of meat, seafood and vegetables. Most food is ordered through the QR code menu. They have some snacks, salads and fruits that are self serve in the middle of the restaurant along with sauces.nnThe food tastes good and is fresh. I wish it came in smaller portions, so that I could try more selection. Some tables allow for a shared pot, whereas others have individual pots.nnI'm giving them 5 stars because they currently have a 30% discount when you pay with cash or debit. Otherwise I'd give this place 4 stars normally.
The food is outstanding! They are fresh and the broth is amazing! I have ordered the house tomato broth. The spicy and sour base is so tasty that I cannot stop drinking it. The dim sum is nice as well. The beautiful lady servers were nice and the I enjoy this meal a lot!
Came here on a weekend for hotpot, and there was only one staff member capable of taking broth orders. It's odd that we were able to order food remotely but not the broth, so we must've waited for 10 minutes before the staff attended our table. Overall, the food was good. However, the snack/dessert section took a long time to get replenished. The ice cream didn't look or taste like ice cream, so that was a disappointment.
