Got there and apparently happy hour was going on great apps. Stay around for dinner n cocktails the food was tasty and the drinks were savory. The best about this place was the service Anthony Antonio was great he was knowledgeable of the meals and drinks. Definitely will return. We enjoyed the food so much we even did some take out after dinner
Went for HH and was not disappointed. Got all their Apps~$5, the white wine was immaculate. My friends got Margaritas and they were just as tasty. We also got some items from their large plate menu and we loved them all. Highly recommend. The ambience is 10/10 and feels so cozy in there!
This was my first time to Leña Brava and it did not disappoint. We ordered one of each food item on the happy hour menu. I don't have a specific recommendation because they were equally delicious. Additionally, we ordered the al pastor which is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. I highly recommend this dish, wow! For drinks, we had a daisy, smoked watermelon margarita, vienna lager, and a Mexico calling - all delicious. Staff friendly and prompt, we will back next time we are in Chicago!
I ordered a chicken dinner with a jalapeño cream sauce. The chicken was cooked so freaking perfect. I didn't need the cream sauce! Dessert was yummy Drinks were flowing and refreshing. Great place to eat.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Enjoyed my birthday dinner here last night 10/8 and it was exceptional. Our group of six started with their Queso/charred bread and guacamole/chips; both outstanding. Our cocktails and mock-tails were delicious; I enjoyed the Floridita…highly recommend. Dinner came and we enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, el pastor, carne asada, tamal and carnitas….OUTSTANDING!! Our server was top-notch; very knowledgeable and attentive. He had a great disposition, the food was timed well and arrived piping hot. We sat by the open fire kitchen which was fun to watch. Overall, another exceptional experience at a Rick Bayless restaurant.
Food was delicious, and the service and ambiance were spectacular! Perfect for a date night, a meal with friends, or a meal with family! Very pleasant experience. Definitely going back! Dietary restrictions: They always ask for food allergies!
Not your typical Mexican restaurant! Very creative take on the branzino/bass worth mentioning the sauces that they pair it with and fall off the bone short ribs. Great beer selection too! Highly recommended. :
Just amazed at this place! The wood fire oysters were fire!! The ceviche was also really good! The side of plantains were delicious but the cream felt too heavy and overpowering. Thanks for making my birthday special!!Dine in: Yes
Some of the best ceviche I can count on in the area. Make reservations early because now that it's gorgeous outside again it will be harder and harder to get a table. Delicious drinks and awesome food. The only thing that isn't my favorite is the enchiladas but everybody else I know loves it.
Make sure you run and don't walk to this amazing restaurant. This was my first time dining here and I actually just picked it at random while walking down the street in Chicago. The atmosphere is very casual and nice and the service is five stars! I started with the guacamole de la casa and it was simply the best guacamole I have ever put in my dirty mouth. The chips that they serve with it are fried tortilla chips and they are amazing! For my main dish I had the carne asada served with queso anejo mashed potatoes. The steak was phenomenal and prepared perfectly. Listen, I love mashed potatoes more than some of my family members and when I tell you these were the best ever, please believe me! They were so good I might actually just order an entire plate of mashed potatoes the next time I go. For my drink I had a few of the Oaxacan old fashioneds, and they were to die for. A big shout out to my bartender Marshall who really knows what he's doing in that space. Also I don't normally add the bar back to my reviews but in this case I have to. I believe his name was Willie. Super great customer service and clearly on top of his game.
