All the staff was friendly and so hospitable! This was my 1st time but definitely not my last! My waitress Vanessa, manger Carlos and GM Christopher went above and beyond to make this a lasting experience! I recommend anyone that is looking for the freshest seafood with the most talented chefs to check this place out. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. Every dish was outstanding and most delicious.
I brought my husband here for his birthday and it was such a great idea. Brian, our server, was amazing and so engaging. We decided to do the Ultimate Tasting Menu which was described as “the best the restaurant has to offer”, and it was so so good. Highlights were the ceviche oysters, the caviar cone, and the paella. Even if you don’t do the tasting menu, be sure to get the paella! For drinks, my favorite was the salt air margarita but we also tried the floral cloud and the old fashioned and those were also great. This place is so perfect for any special occasion.
Being a huge fan of José Andrés I had to check out Bar Mar. Super chic - the decor, the vibe, the service & the menu all over the top! My server helped me select some really fun & alluring options. I loved everything I tried and equally enjoyed ogling every dish that was being delivered around me. So I can vouch for the Himachi Cone - divine! Neptune’s Pillows - marvelous! Just time for apps & bubbles on this visit and can’t wait to return for more!!!
The cocktails were amazing. Their dry ice technique is unique and entertaining. The food was beyond delicious. Plan to spend some $$ because the service is excellent and you’ll want to keep ordering more. Highly recommend.
Had an absolutely lovely time at Bar Mar! Perfect ambiance, absolutely stunning mood, music, and decor. The food was all delicious - not a crumb left on the plate. The best part was our server, Ebon. He was warm, attentive, and made our experience. It has been a while since I have had such a friendly and kind server. Thank you so much for elevating our dinner. We will request his section next time we visit! Thank you!
I expect this to become a happy hour destination for those working in the loop. Cocktails are innovative and have an interesting spin on the classics. The food while tasty was on the pricy side at around 12$ a bite not a plate. That being said the interior is beautiful and will have outdoor space in the summer along the river making it very appealing to the post work crowd.
This restaurant was the BOMB! My s/o and I drove an hour to experience Bar Mar and the experience was much more than I would have ever expected. Each food and drink item we ordered exceeded all expectations and every staff member made sure to greet us and explain what each item was and how it was prepared. Our server, Amanda, went above and beyond to tend to our needs. She does the perfect amount of check ins with her tables. She worked her butt off serving all her tables. I never seen a server as dedicated to their guests as she is. I overheard the table next to us compliment her on her speedy, attentive personality and commitment to make their stay as smooth and happy as possible. Our table "neighbors" even wanted to request her for next time. If you want an amazing dining experience, this is the place to be! I would make the hour drive over and over again and will for sure recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Bright and beautiful interior. Attentive service. The waiter was careful to help us select gluten-free and dairy-free items. For lunch, portions were a bit smaller than typical American restaurants so consider ordering an appetizer and main per person.Recommended dishesPoke Bowl
The atmosphere here is stunning! It’s so relaxing and bright! Absolutely loved all of the greenery which the server shared many were brought from Puerto Rico ! We loved it as my husband is Puerto Rican. The food was delicous but just wish there was a little more meat on the lobster roll. The croquetas de pollo was not to our liking. Very mushy on the inside, almost felt undercooked. The Classic Ceviche was awesome! The little red peppers were a perfect touch of spice with more or a vinegar taste. Loved it! The ranch dressing on the chicken salad was very good. The wagyu steak did not impress us. The flavor was lacking. The server did bring us the Sticky Toffee Pudding to celebrate my husband’s birthday… it was Soooo good! Overall I would return to try their dinner menu as the lunch menu is very small.
Our group had a Friday night dinner at Bar-Mar. The food and drinks were delicious. Our lead server was Ryan and sommelier Albert did a great job. They were both attentive, friendly, positive, and helpful. Great attitude and set the tone for a great experience. Loved the food, the view, the architecture, and the service. Every dish was meticulously prepared and delivered to the table. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place for delicious food and craft/adventurous cocktails.
