Station is so confusing. A lot of areas closed off and entrances locked. So you get off the subway have to leave the station. And go all the way back around to Catch the bus. This can't be easy for older people and people with mobility issues. Needs work
Although this station is still undergoing some construction, it remains a vital connection of the TTC. The station has 4 levels in which the passengers can connect to busses and subway trains. The lower level is the actual subway platform with the two tracks. The station has no air conditioning during summer but because is deep underground and has a large open space if is a bit more acceptable than other stations in the city.
As of January 2024, trying to transfer onto buses is an absolute nightmarennThey’ve closed the bus terminal for elevator work, so now you have to go to Eglinton to get on the 52 Lawrence West, and service east of Avenue Road is replaced by the 124 and 162, so now you have to wait for TWO buses serving the same streetnn…That being said, it’s a decent station
During the winter much like most TTC stations this one is very cold. No heated waiting rooms. The building is easy to navigate and easy access. With the lack of staff and as this isn’t a very high traffic area and poorly lit with only 3 video cameras that likely don’t work as they appear to be pretty old. So if feeling safe is important to you I’d suggest visiting this location during daylight hours. Overall it’s a typical TTC station.
Nice to see that it's getting its upgrade slowly but surely... The in-progess renovation gives it quite a nice vibe for urban photography.nnNo homeless spotted.. so that's a plus.nnDate: 11 March 2024
