On a minor highway in the rocky mountains there is a fork in the road. If you follow the road to the left it will become narrower and wrought with twists and turns. Eventually there is a very old town where the highway goes right through the middle, and narrows to a single lane and snakes back and forth in the tightest hairpin turns. You're forced to slow to a crawl to navigate these turns, and thus forced to observe the town's extremely weak, extremely antiquated claim to fame. A literal tourist trap, you drive through the halls of a building that is home to the Great Museum of Cupboards. There is only one type of cupboard however; the walls are lined by floor to ceiling wooden doors of varying pastel colors, completely plain in decor, adorned with nothing more than old silver round knobs for handles. Occasionally you see a small placard on a door, commemorating some hole, and explaining it's historical significance, but usually it's just an old knothole in the grain of the wood. An experience, to say the least, but the smithsonian it was not. Some things just don't live up to the hype.

Great Place to visit year round. I love how clean everything is. I live in Calgary, but i still enjoy visiting lake Louise a few times a year. Personally i like winter the best, because you can walk across the lake when it freezes over. Its an interesting experience.

This is a very cool little visitors center with a fun museum inside. A couple of videos and some cool gondola cars outside for photos. They have a fun little program for the kiddos to go from site to site and get badges like the US National Park Jr. Ranger Program.
