Very expensive did half day at $90 ticket vs $110 for full day. Was very busy reasonable lines only one main lift up. Definitely lacks snowfall, snow was hard, sheet ice. Lots of gravel and small rocks exposed in certain areas. Terrain looks like it would be good with fresh snow but seems to lack snow and relies on snow making. A bit disappointed as travelled a long way to only get similar snow conditions to back home in Australia. Stayed in town 5 nights and didn't bother hitting the mountain again. Did a few days at sunshine and snow is much better just a little too flat. Lake Louise lacks grooming as well was clearly obvious that most runs don't get groomed daily. In Australia all runs are groomed daily greens, blues and blacks. If looking to plan a trip my advice do resorts in BC. They get more snow, Banff was nice to visit and enjoyed the scenery but lacks enough decent snow resorts to justify a length of stay. Hope you find this useful.

The back bowls are fantastic and the larch chair is a hidden treasure. Only giving this 3 stars because of the front side. Unless there is snow it gets ICY. As a beginner skier there are better hills for you. HOWEVER EXPERT SKIERS THIS IS HEAVEN. Get there early to experience the fresh powder in the back bowls among other hidden gems at this resort. The lodge is beautiful and majestic and it's a great place to go. I prefer sunshine though 😉

The 5 star rating is mainly based on the beauty of the location. As for the mountain conditions, the runs were super icy but manageable, the green runs are more difficult than I was expecting (I'm a beginner) which is great for those who are really good at either snowboarding or skiing. Also, there are some runs that were not that great for myself, as a snowboarder, they were more for skiers because there were flat areas, these runs should be better indicated (We did a lot of walking on these runs). Aside from that we had an adventurous time.

Great variety of terrain and all of the staff i spoke with were very friendly and helpful. The bowls on the backside had lots of snow which was great. Getting to the top can be difficult as it's unfortunately a very long tbar, but it's worth it especially if you are looking for powder bowls. Lodge amenities seemed decent, but no obvious water fountains for skiers and snowboarders though, so I was forced to buy water.

When the snow is good, the skiing is all time here. The resort is very big with skiing for all levels. If you are adventurous, there is enough to keep you happy. Crowds are usually small and spread out. If it snows, get there early to access the bowls before others. Food on the mountain is very good as well. Just be prepared to squeeze into a table if you go in at noon.
