Just for the environment I’ll give it a 5. Seating, view and cleanliness are tops. It’s next to a golf course. The deck is big with umbrellas. It’s very open all around. Birds are chirping. Look at my attached pictures. Fries are nicely cooked. You order a $8 portion it’s big enough for 3. So yummy.
I try to support a small local business but this was by far the worst BURGER I've ever had!! Bland with no sought of flavor! I won't even mention the rude service experienced at the counter! Shady and only accepts cash! Cold and dry fries! Terrible food! Garbage!
Feel like having a greasy burger? La Frite à mon Oncle is THE local burger joint. Chat in French with the owner, get yourself a Delima burger and some fries and go eat it at the back with a view on the river and perhaps some friendly ducks. Cash only. Bon appétit!
Smoked meat sandwich was nice - good amount of meat, nice butter bun served with oniony slaw and sweet deli pickles. Large "mon oncle" poutine great fries, curds deliciously squeaky, black pepper gravy very tasty but the meat topping is basically a broken up burger patty was oddly sweet. Service was good.
Paid 20.75$ for a "big" chicken poutine with extra cheese which is probably the equivalent of a small poutine at other restaurants, the chicken was dry, tasteless and hard like a peice of steak, the sauce had absolutely zero taste and wasn't even hot, i paid 5$ for extra cheese which is already ridiculous and it didn't even show i paid for extra cheese because there was no more than a normal poutine unless he only puts 3 peices of cheese normally. Would not recommend and won't be eating here again.
We had an exquisite vegetarian poutine here called la forestière. Great family recipe, great friendly service, nice little outdoor dining patio with some friendly ducks that passed by to say hello. Prices were also reasonable and good portions. They offer veggie dogs and veggie burgers as well which was greatly appreciated!
Best Friterie for a classic poutine and steamie! Especially on a Sunday!!
A classic frite stand, always yummy and welcoming. We enjoy every visit
Stumbled upon this place while driving through the Laurentians, and it is immediately one of my favourite casse-croutes ever! A diverse menu with all of the classics and some fun and inventive twists. The poutine was amazing with homemade fries, delicious sauce and fresh cheese curds all hitting the mark. The owner was very friendly and clearly proud of his establishment!
I have no idea where the people that rate this place anything above one star normally dine, but this place by far was the worst overpriced cantine Fish and chips. I wish more people were honest in their reviews to help others make a rash decision when looking for a place to grab a bite.
