King Taps Kelowna Lakeside

First time at Kings Taps during our visit to Kelowna. Table for 10 for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. Amazing atmosphere and scenery, originally we had a table reserved for outside but due to the wind they were able to accommodate us inside. Service was excellent, all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was amazing, no complaints. You seriously have the best calamari, I could have ordered another dish! Next time we visit Kelowna we are definitely coming back!

I love the wide variety of cocktails they offer. I’ve visited several times for different occasions, and every experience has been consistently enjoyable. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food and drinks are delicious, and the location is hard to beat. I highly recommend it whether you’re meeting friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just looking for a great place to relax.

This is a must visit at Waterfront! Raven helped to get us patio seating before our drink orders for our last night in Kelowna, and Reckless gave us a tasty recommendation at our friend's behest. He took amazing care of us. Food and drink got to the table quickly even though the spot was packed, and I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Bowl, the pizza, and the Baja fish tacos!

This was our first visit to King Taps Kelowna, and unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.nnWe had a 9:00 PM reservation on June 29. Our server asked if we wanted our three appetizers served first and our two steaks brought out afterward. We said yes. However, the steaks arrived only about two minutes after the appetizers. We asked the food runner to take them back because we wanted to finish our appetizers first, exactly as our server had suggested.nnAfter we finished eating, our server asked if we were ready for the steaks. We said yes, and they were back on our table within one minute. As a professional chef, I know a medium-rare steak cannot be freshly cooked, rested, and plated that quickly. The steaks were dry on top, cold underneath, and no longer juicy. We believed they had simply been kept under a heat lamp or reheated with kitchen salamander.nnWhen we asked our server directly, she insisted they had cooked two brand-new steaks. Later, the manager told us the opposite—that they had not made new steaks and had simply kept the originals under the heat lamp. Being told two completely different stories was unacceptable.nnThe service made the experience even worse. Our appetizers arrived before we even had cutlery, share plates, or napkins. We often had to wait a long time just to get water. Most disappointing of all, our server never apologized. After speaking with the manager, she walked past our table, ignored us, and happily chatted with other guests.nnI can’t say for certain that we were treated differently because we’re Asian, but that’s honestly how it felt. We left feeling disrespected rather than valued as customers.nnWhat disappointed us the most was our server’s attitude. She showed no sincerity, avoided eye contact when we questioned the steaks, never apologized for giving us incorrect information, and after the manager stepped in, she simply ignored our table while continuing to smile and chat with other guests. Instead of making us feel like valued customers, her behavior came across as dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional.nnI’ve worked for Cactus Club, so I understand that mistakes happen. What matters is honesty and professionalism. Unfortunately, we received neither. We won’t be returning to this location, and we can’t recommend it to anyone visiting Kelowna.

Visited the lakeside location in Kelowna and it did not disappoint! King Taps has an amazing patio with a beautiful view of the lake, such a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.nnTheir happy hour menu is incredible and definitely worth checking out. Everything we ordered was delicious, the gyozas, duo dip, and the Malibu chicken club were all 10/10. The drinks were just as good! I had the frozen strawberry margarita and the frozen mango margarita not pictured, and both were super refreshing and full of flavour.nnThe service was also really nice and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Great vibes, amazing food and drinks!
