I shared the bolognese, carbonara, and nashville hot chicken sliders with a friend. It was all very good for the most part. My only complaint about the food was the sliders. The chicken was crispy, juicy, tender, and JUST the right amount of spicy. The bread was cold and a tad too doughy. I was glad i got the sliders and not the full sandwich because sharing all the other dishes was an absolute treat.nnAlso definitely get the mousse.nnIn terms of atmosphere, the entire restaurant was an odd mix of fine dining meets sports bar. Was I upset by it? Not really. Was it kind of strange? Yes. This is just so you're aware of what you're getting yourself into.nnOur server was an absolute delight and really was an excellent guide through the menu. I think her name was Nicole. I'm having trouble remembering. GO HERE.
I dined at Kingstown on the Water in Kelowna recently and was served by Jack, who was on just his second shift. Despite his limited experience, his service was genuinely excellent.nJack was attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring everything arrived promptly and in perfect order. My glass was refilled discreetly, courses were well-timed, and he checked in just often enough to make the evening feel smoothly looked after.nIt’s clear Jack has a natural knack for hospitality. He handled a busy evening with calm confidence and genuine warmth. Highly commendable service—well done, and I look forward to returning.
King Taps is a Downtown Kelowna Must-VisitnnKing Taps in Downtown Kelowna is one of those spots that truly captures the best of being by Okanagan Lake. The location is unbeatable — steps from the waterfront with incredible views — and the overall atmosphere feels fresh, open, and welcoming. When the patio is open for the season, it’s honestly one of the best outdoor dining experiences in the city.nnThe staff here are warm, friendly, and attentive. From the moment we arrived, the service felt personal without trying too hard. Table service is right on point — drinks never sit empty and food arrives at a perfect pace. It’s also a fantastic spot to catch a game; watching the Blue Jays during the World Series push here was a great vibe — lively energy but still comfortable enough to relax and hang out.nnThe menu is diverse and approachable, with something for everyone — from shareable plates to solid mains — and the pricing feels fair for the quality and the location. Everything we tried tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the drink list has a ton of great options.nnOverall, King Taps strikes the balance Kelowna is known for: laid-back lakeside ease with polished service and consistently good food. Whether you’re visiting, meeting friends, or just enjoying the lakefront, it’s a spot that always delivers.
Enjoying the lakeside view, delicious food, and a laid-back vibe — yes, you can have it all at King Taps! We came here for dinner, and every dish was full of flavor and care.nnIt’s a great spot for families, friends, or couples — with a beautiful atmosphere and tasty food. There’s a parking lot right next to the restaurant, though spaces are limited. A good alternative is to park near City Hall and take a short walk over while enjoying the lake view along the way!
This is the second time we've visited this restaurant while on holiday in Kelowna. We didn't have to wait long for a table. The staff was accommodating and gave us a table on the veranda away from the noisy crowds. You can enjoy the view of the waterfront and boat station. It was unexpectedly nice to see a raccoon running past the restaurant The pizza was very tasty, but my choice of the Godfather pizza wasn't the best. A super spicy dish, I didn't expect so much pepper it would be a good idea to put a pepper icon next to such a dish on the menu. The chicken was very tender and the atmosphere was a pleasant summer evening.
