La Petite Maison

We were welcomed with an intimate ambient atmosphere and soft music. The chef was lovely, you could sense his passion and cool character. There is also no corking fee, so i brought a really nice malbec to enjoy, and of course share with the chef! First course was black bean soup with duck fat and warm croissants. I was melting in my seat with love of this first course! I am a soup lover and this is right on the top of good soups. Then, a spinach salad with cheese and a nice maple dressing. It was a simpler dish and a great palette cleanser. The main dish came next. The choices were fish/chicken/vegetarian crepes. I got fish and vegetarian and was surprised how much I loved it as I do not usually try the vegetarian option. We closed with cherries and chocolate ice cream which was a nice sweet ending for lovely birthday dinner. We'll be back!!

Food is amazing, especially for the price! Can't be beat for double the cost. Menu is fixed, usually 4 courses. Trust the chef/owner, everything is excellent. Also bring your own wine, there is no cork fee! Highly recommended.

I'll have to say this place is very unique. The food that was served was absolutely amazing. The chef is friendly. Almost a bit too much for the fact he was talking to us the entire time (even sat down at our table and poured himself a glass of our wine) and it was more so a one way conversation about himself. I hadn't seen these friends in a long time so we never really got the chance to engage in our own conversation.

Amazing place, great food and possibly the best service ever especially from a staff of 1! Make sure to make a reservation. From accomodating 2 people to a huge group everything was stellar from start to finish.
