Was not impressed with our experience. There is a large selection available of various ingredients, but nothing really tasted good or very fresh. The clay pot rice is a nice touch, but they do not put very much meat on the rice. In terms of value for money, we paid $43 a person just for hotpot, when you could to to nicer all you can eat places for $50.
haven't been here in years but came for dinner and was pretty happy with the food. there's not many Cantonese style hot pot places anymore so this one is great with lots of traditional menu options including other cooked side dishes. I always get the fried sticky rice here. ingredients were fresh and prepared well, staff are efficient though not the most friendly, space is large and pretty clean.
Good place for Cantonese style hotpot. Soup bases, sauces and a selection of hot food included in the all you can eat price. Can choose either seafood or beef option seafood $2 more. 10% cash discount.Food: 4/5
Definitely on my top 10 Hot pot place. Have been around for so many years. One of the hot pot places that survived in the fierce hot pot market in the past few years. The only place that truly does AYCE.. drinks included, condiments all included, even side dishes like fried wings, deep fried tofu, sticky rice etc... All included with no time limit. Choices of food is decent but quality sometimes is a hit and miss. Most of the time is good. They also have rooms if you are throwing a hot pot party. Service is very subjective here as I kinda got used to their servers being more on the quiet side and seldom smile. If you are hoping for a warm greeting and a server to come and check on you every now and then, then this place is definitely a no no. If you are a cheapo like me, remember to tell them you are going for the meat only hotpot which still include squid, baby octopus and mussel. And if you want oyster, salmon scallop and shrimp1 serving only though then go for the full menu. Also, they include 10% service charge by default. Still, I recommend this place as this is the last few places that still do southern China/Hong Kong style hot pot.
Very nostalgic place as it has been around forever and menu has been the same ever since. You always know what to expect. Since the prices have increased I’m not sure if it’s worthwhile anymore, especially the seafood menu.
This hot pot restaurant is big. But it was filled up pretty quick when I went there on Sunday night. Food was good, price was reasonable. But service was not very friendly, probably was understaffed or maybe that's their norm.
Reasonably priced all you can eat hot pot. The meat and fish balls look hand made and are fresh, not that frozen stuff. Love that they have mango sago as a part of their menu for dessert. I will say this place does look a bit old and run down inside. Come for the food and not the decor. To find more tasty eats, follow me and check out my page on Instagram @hungrysimo
After coming here for over a decade, Kim Tao is still my go to hot pot. Kim Tao offers all you can eat AYCE with a decent variety of menu items. The meats are typically good quality, and their hot pot staples are also tasty. Kim Toa has had their share of ups and downs, and despite the recent difficult times for the restaurant business, they are still managing to stay afloat with good decent food. Family ran by one of the hardest working owners in the business. When restaurants were shutdown during the pandemic, it was probably the first "day off" he had in years. Support this great restaurant, I know I do when I can.
The service was amazing. Beyond amazing. If they didn't already charge a gratuity we would have tipped twice as much. Our server was incredibly helpful and very amusing. The food was delicious and there was next to no wait for it arrive. There was also no wait to be seated. I went with a group of five including myself and we had not just our own booth but like a whole room to ourselves. Some of the other seating arrangements weren't as desirable. Definitely had a great time. I would recommend thus place to a friend.
We came around 7:45ish, and the place was half full. So we were able to get a seat rather quickly. I just want to say right off the bat, how exceptionally wonderful all the staff were at the restaurant. That's what I feel makes this hot pot spot stand out. Despite being super busy and running around with orders. The items were fresh, the broth was SPICY, but still really good. Overall a fun experience and would love to come here again
