It was delicious. $40 per person all you can eat. I gave 4stars because toward the end of our stay they slowed the service. We ordered more meat and dessert, and half of them didn't show to our table. Also l found couple of the marinated dishes very salty. Still it was a very enjoyable meal. I liked the ambience.
Love the ambiance…. Festive Asian decor with antique tables, chairs and traditional Asian lantern’s throughout the space. Traditional Chinese Style hot pot that’s all you can eat. Lots of choices of meats on the list. Although lacked the variety of vegetables … missing favourites such as watercress and spinach. But they had snow pea tips which I’ve not seen at other hot pot which is a very nice surprising addition. There are items on the menu considered premium and are there is additional charge such as Thai Tiger Prawns +$13.99 and Abalone +19.99 and tons more on the list. I always over indulge when it’s AYCE. I saved room for a little dessert but a little disappointing with only two choices to choose from…. which are a sweet rice cakes and fried bun with condensed milk. I noticed people at other tables had ice cream bars. Ask for this cream flavour ice cream bar cause its refreshing and it’s no extra charge and not listed on the menu. Overall it was enjoyable but they could make improvement to the menu selection.
New place for authentic hot pot! We came here spontaneously because the line at Daldongnae was too long, and it ended up being a great choice. Plenty of space, very friendly staff, super clean and modern with aprons and a basket behind you to place your bags. You order on your phone directly by scanning a qr code and they bring all the dishes up fairly quickly. Service is fantastic, they are prompt with refilling the soup base and lemon water. The sauce bar is also clean with a lot of options and even suggested sauce combinations! Price for all you can eat is also pretty affordable ~$35 weekend evenings.
Soup base very salty, messy, first round was bitter, even after adding plain soup it was hard to eat, less expensive the other hotpot, can choose regular menu or u can eat, personally like the shrimp past from all u cam eat better, but the regular one was better presented, see Pic above. Even tho it's walking distance to my place, doubt I'll go again.
From the moment you walk in you feel like you’re transported to China at Shudaxia hot pot and the interior is so well thought of with even the chairs and tables craved with their Panda mascot. There is an a la carte option as well as All-You-Can Eat which is priced at $32.99 and FREE for kids under 6 soup base extra You can also get All you can drink pop, homemade plum juice and Honey Tea for $2.99. That’s an amazing price and this so family friendly! Very good selection and quality of meats and all other hot pot essentials to choose from. I love their Spinach noodles! You definitely have to come try it out!
The food slices are too large to chew, even the bamboo shoots they cut into one large piece they should have a option on the menu whether the customer want a slice like that. For the table setting they don’t have a filter spoon prepared for each table, they put the water on the side table you might mention it finally when you finished the meal. They only have one chopsticks pre-person, actually the raw meats and boiled meats needs to be separated into two sets of chopsticks, a long set and a short set. They need to scan the QR code for the menu, the server won’t explain to you it requests the customer a great observation and highly-understanding.The server took away the empty plate very fast, when they have the dish on the table they don’t explain how to do with the meats and white liquid, you need to ask like a student. Also the cooker controller maybe on the side of the table where we can’t see, the hotpot soup easily goes sticky and spatter, at the same time they refill the hotpot soup very slow even they have many servers around. Still got a bit expects to this hot pot, hope its getting good.
Authentic place to enjoy Sichuan hot pot. There are 2 options, all you can eat or regular menu. We choose regular one. The budget is around 30-50 CAD.
Shudaxia Hotpot has an amazing ambiance, the wall decors, the paintings on the wall are originated from Jin Rong’s famous novels, which most of the Chinese have been indulging his works or on the TV’s series…. Never see these type of wall décor before in any of the Chinese restaurants. So creative in the application. Sat early evening, but a crazy busy spot as the images showed The foods with abundant selection, all you can eat. Pricing so reasonable, we have 8 persons for a section, the bill was about C$303. The staff was generously allowing us more time to finish what we’d ordered. So we spent close 2 and a half hours. This is trilingual place with Mandarin, Cantonese and English-speaking staffs. We order a dual broth pot, and the food is at the great quality which I have not need to further describe how great they are, as a connoisseur like you and me, I am sure we have the same wave length. We found this Cantonese Speaking lady staff has been very helpful, attentive and cheerfully friendly. Her name is WaWa.
Came here late on a Tuesday with a small family. Super cool décor and pretty solid hotpot. Rang up at about $30pp after taxes etc and we definitely came out quite full. The whole restaurant is themed, including some fun surprises. The space felt clean, the service was prompt, and subtleties like an apron and cellphone drawers are also uncommon quirks compared amongst similar establishments. Definitely recommend visiting and checking it out!
quality of food is really good and fresh. staff is super friendly and helpful too. manager always comes up to us to ask if everything is good each visit
