Overall a good experience here except we were given the bill before our time was up. My tip would be to be prepared the soup bases when you arrive. The sauce station is a bit small. The quality of the meat was very good. Orders placed on the phone came pretty fast. Very good dessert selection, most places just have ice cream. Seafood seemed pretty fresh too. We made a reservation at an early time for dinner. There was a queue as we were leaving.
First time visited this newly opened Japanese style Chinese Hot Pot Restaurant . The interior decoration is very Japanese, you can imagine you were having hot pot in Tokyo. We can have many choices from different sets of menu . The "All you can eat " looks very tempting , but we only pick the lunch set, can't eat a lot. The staff are friendly and efficient. The only thing I like to mention is that the table for 2 is really small, especially there are so many plates for food and sauce. While doing the cooking and eating , a little more space can make life easier I can see many empty tables inside . If I can eat more comfortably , I will give them a 5 stars .
Have been here twice, once with a reservation for two and another with reservations of four. Both times was to take advantage of their opening special 20% off regular price, 50% off soup base. Price ended roughly $40-45 per person depending on pot size and choice of solo or duo soup base. Ingredients were fresh and had a good variety. Be extra vigilant about the heating as the stoves either get really hot or don't boil at all. The restaurant recently opened so service is still going through the usual trial and error phase, and we noticed several mistakes by some of the servers-in-training. One thing that I was less of a fan of is the rigidity of the servers. It's convenient to order things through the QR code and on your phone, yes, but how come we are not allowed to have a physical menu to keep at the table as well? Also, towards the end of our meal, we asked for specific items that never came. When we addressed this with our server, we were simply told to reorder because they were not "allowed" to get anything otherwise this was for dessert FYI. If the problem was the online order, wouldn't it be easier to address it with someone who was physically there? Overall, both times were enjoyable experiences, with some patience needed for servers who are still learning on the job. Recommendation is to and have a solo pot and get duo soup bases. Take advantage of the promotion now for the price ends December 16th!, because the cost will be less affordable at the full price!
Very nice experience. I personally enjoy the dark interior and other designs. Service is good. Food quality is good. Love the fancy sample plate of different beef cuts after ordering so you know what you are eating. I also like that they don't refill your soup base with water or some mysterious soup in every pot. They actually refill your pot with the same kind you ordered. Well done. Currently 20% if you pay in cash. P.S. Communication on billing can be better. A staff who never served us chased us down, thinking we didn't pay. 20% tips was what we paid as a matter of fact. Plus, if I really didn't pay, sending a 5ft tall lady in her mid 40s would not be able to chase us down, or would she? Hm...
Great experience and quality hot pot food. The restaurant recently opened and it’s in the corner of the plaza. There are lots of seats inside with majority catered to party of 4. Most tables have one hot pot to share. In terms of cost, soup is one fee and the combo you want is another fee. I tried the regular beef combo and the quality of the meat was excellent. I tried 4 soups because we had 2 hot pots at the table. All soups were very flavorful and I would have all of them again. All ordering is completed on a mobile device and move than one mobile device can order for the table. Service was excellent and servers were quick to clear the table. None of our orders were forgotten. A really nice touch from this restaurant is that they offer an apron, a wipe for your glasses when it fogs from the hot pot, and wet wipes. Very impressed with the level of service. Overall, great food and service. Can’t wait to visit again!
Very nice hotpot price Service was extremely good there. And they have Robot servers as well. The foods are fresh, and good selection. A bit pricey but worth it better than other places in this price range
We have been this place for three times, never make us disappointed. Their beef is fresh, high quality and tender. Their service is good. All servers are nice, especially Mia. Their place is clean and the price is fair and reasonable. Definitely will come again!
Great service and selection of meats! My only complaint is that there was an additional charge for the broth that was separate from the charge for the meat selection, which doesn't really make sense to me. Be wary of 5 star reviews - the restaurant offers a 10% discount for people that leave 5 star reviews
I went with a friend for dinner. It was a pretty good experience. It was quite packed in the restaurant. Overall the experience was good. The meat items were good - we did the premium wagyu. The seafood items were decent, didn't feel super fresh. The vegetarian items were good. They do serve a of variety of items which is great! I would possibly go back or recommend this place. The servers are extremely sweet and friendly.
Tldr/Overall: it was a nice hotpot experience, not over the top "wow". Soup bases were delicious. Not stellar cleanliness. Parking at Times Sq sucks, go early. Service: our server was sweet 5/5, we had many a good laughs with her. She made sure to use the splash guard while topping up our soup bases. Order items on your own phone, qr code at your table, like many other restos post covid. We had brief service by 3 others who were not as friendly which reduced my rating, they didnt speak to us at all refilling soup base without the splash guard and picking up our tip; we gave 26% tip and they just eyed us after checking. Food: food selection comes in tiers, which determines your price per person from $35 to $100, with kobe, scallop, abalone, and some wagyu only available in the highest tier. I personally, along with my dinner partners, wouldn't be able to tell which shriveled up piece of meat is which cut/grade once it's all cooked, so we just picked the classic tier. Food came out really fast. The beancurd roll/sheet was my favourite, it was super flavourful from the broth. They were also out of fish tofu, what a bummer. Soup: we had the ox tail and sukiyaki soup bases. Would love to try the tonkotsu next time! The soups were sweet and flavourful and gave enough flavour to the cooked foods that I almost didn't need my dipping sauce. Cleanliness: Sauces and condiments at the station were self serve and uncovered. I'm not sure how I feel about that during the current "triple threat" going about right now, but it is what it is. There were also many sauce boats that had a lot of food bits, a couple were even 1cm filled with some water, I'm assuming was cleaning water. There was also a small white piece in my bowl, which may have been a piece of tissue, but I didn't want to touch it to find out. Atmosphere: felt a little bit incohesive. The lighting and decor was nice and upwards towards classy, but it didn't suit the open food court style tables/seating. The server robots didn't really fit the classy vibes either, although really cute. There's a tree in the angled table, which I didn't quite understand. In all, decor feels really out of place. Other: I was asked for the phone number for the rsvp when I got there, to "confirm it's [my] friend". It was a bit odd, I'd never been asked to prove our rsvp before, but I guess they have reasons from past experience. The robot servers bring out the food and human servers put them on the tables. They were well programmed, dodging chairs and people. I did really like the led name tags the servers wore, they were big and bright, which added a friendly human element to the whole robotics age. I felt comfortable with the amount of "hot elements" and the care provided by the servers, I would not be against bringing my toddler next time.
