Dahu Hotpot

Bright, clean, elegant, open space. One of the fancier looking hot pot places I've ever been to. Incredible variety of food — fresh quality, cleanly presented, and arrived lightning fast. Service was truly excellent. Attentive but not cloying, super friendly and polite, gave great recommendations based on what we were already ordering, asked how our food was and gave us advice on the best ways to eat it, consistently refilled the broth in our pot, and empty dishes were cleared almost immediately. There are dozens of hot pot restaurants in the Richmond Hill/Markham area now, but this one actually deserves its high ratings and rave reviews. It's about $55 after tax and tip, which I thought was very reasonable for hot pot and entirely worth the price.

The restaurant is really nice and big. You order on your phone. Good selection of hotpot items. Soup bases are extra on top of the AYCE per person price. There's a sauce station and also a few cold apps and dessert. Great service. Our server was really attentive and friendly. I like that they top up your soup base with pork broth instead of water like other places. However, be careful if you have dietary restrictions and ask when they refill your soup. Some of the older servers may not be as aware. They refilled my friend's spicy vegetarian soup with pork broth but gave her a new pot after we pointed it out. Good ventilation, didn't smell too much like hot pot after dinner. Looking forward to coming back and would recommend.

This AYCE hotpot has completed our hot pot fix tonight. Food quality is good and fresh. Service is great. We choose the food through phone in the menu. We mostly picked beef and lamb which they are fresh! Vegetables are good. Shrimp is yummy. There is a sauce station in the common area. You can find appetizers and desserts there as well. Table is big and clean and we sit comfortably to enjoy the food. We chose individual pot as they also have a big pot that you share with others. The maximum dining is 2 hours which we find is pretty good enough for a dinner. For sure I will go back again.

Parking no problem. Cx service was very good and spoke English. Instead 1 big pot like in other places, 1 hot pot for each person is served. You can choose different soup base in your pot. Also you can choose your own dipping sauce from the sets of seasoning. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Only down side is choices of vegetables. There wasn't much.

I recommend this place. It's an unassuming restaurant tucked in the 2nd floor of the building plaza. I went on a Saturday for lunch with the family and were seated in one of their private rooms. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and polite. The food was promptly served, tastes good, and reasonably priced. If you're looking for a value hot pot place, it's worth the trip. It's a no frills hot pot restaurant I would recommend.

Been here twice and out of all the hot pot places in markham and Richmond hill I would rank this place #1. Portions are quite generous, meat is fresh, and the spicy soup base is the best. Definitely recommend especially if your planning a group dinner with family or friends. Place has plenty of seats so chances of you waiting are slim. They keep the place clean and is well ventilated. Service is very good, servers are attentive. Overall great value and quality.

Went to Dahu Hotpot for a holiday dinner and it was an amazing experience. The portions were huge and the food was so tasty and fresh. The servers were extremely attentive to our needs and helped to refill our broths frequently. Definitely get a pitcher of watermelon juice, it's so refreshing and sweet. Absolutely recommend!

Great hot pot place. Place in line with other mid/high end hot pot place. They bring exactly what you order in good portion, and they bring it quick. Food quality is good. Service is really good both times I went there. Well vented and well cooled place so you're not sweating buckets.Food: 5/5

We were glad to find this AYCE hotpot restaurant. The decor was nice and the seating was very spacious. The ambiance was really relaxing. They offered a long list of food items for our selection. They used an online order system so, we could simply submit our order by scanning their QR code for the menu. However, their order system does not always work properly so it was important to have a helpful waiter. Luckily, our assigned waiter was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. He frequently helped to follow up with our order to make sure we didn’t miss anything. The food was nothing too fancy but they were fresh. Our only complaint was the soup base. The soup got more and more salty after the waiter refill our soup every now and then. We had to drink a lot of water during and after the meal.

Nice, bright and clean restaurant with a few rooms available for private parties. Service was great and attentive. This hotpot restaurants literally offers hundreds of items on their menu! I don’t know how they do it but all the meat, seafood and vegetables we ordered were fresh and clean. I love the way they present the veggies, and can see that they are washed and trimmed, which isn’t always the case at hotpots. The dishes are all nicely presented with a good selection of sauces for dipping. The soup bases are not all spicy hot, we chose the wild fungus and Szechuan half half and some people chose small pots for themselves. My favourite were the squid cake black rounded which was chewy, the cute little abalone, lobster balls and scallops. Even though we were so stuffed, the dessert was a delightful finish. Definitely would come back for more or order their takeout specials!
