KFC

Absolutely stay away unless you live in town I guess. They close the lobby at 630 on a Saturday night with hockey and dance in town. Guess they don’t want/need to stay in business. Find someplace that appreciates its customers

I work for DoorDash so I visit almost every restaurant in Brookings. Aside from the horrendous mismanagement the employees are so rude. The "manager" that is there on a day-to-day basis treats me like a nuisance and is downright disrespectful. I hope no one purchases from this restaurant and supports this kind of behavior. Even the underpaid BWW workers have more common courtesy.

Here is the deal with the KFC in Brookings SD. It's the best I have eaten at. The reason why is because Brookings is home to South Dakota State University and the competition for 12,000 farm kids appetite is fierce. You won't make it in Brookings if your fast food isn't fresh and good. I eat here quite frequently when I am in Brookings and have never been disappointed. Also, Brookings is a great town. It has more positive energy from those students than any place I have been. I have a home there but I don't get to stay there often because most of my business is in the Black Hills on the western side of SD. And I always look forward to when I get to go there and experience the positive vibes!

Chicken was over cooked and dried out. Mashed potatoes were almost liquid And tasted as though they were scraped out of what had scorched. Was given a rock hard biscuit.This is the third time this has happened. Visits were all Made on different days and times but during what would have been prime times to get fast food. All in the last two months.Also no other cars at the restaurant. Lesson learned.

I ordered online and they canceled my order without saying anything. Turns out they didn’t have chicken. How can KFC not have chicken?

They didn’t have Mac and cheese. Then after we paid they said they couldn’t give us ice for our drinks. Then proceeded to not give us any silverware either and handed us our stuff and walked away. Very unsatisfied.

I’ve gotten food twice from this location. For the second time the order is completely wrong! I live 30 minutes out for em to easily return and go back and get things corrected the staff is rude and can’t even do basic reading when putting an order together.

Don't bother ordering on-line or with the app. They do not start your order until you announce your arrival using the drive thru speaker. Using the app or on-line is just an added step and a waste of time and effort, just order the old fashioned way. An added benefit is that the staff will not be angry at you because something you ordered much earlier is not ready when you get there.

Got everything I ordered which seems to be hard for some other joints to do. Everything seemed fresh for it being 2:30 in the afternoon. Only complaint..the fresh hot fries were put in a bag on top of the coleslaw.
