We waited at the ordering box for 10 minutes as they said they were short staffed. Ok fine. Then we get to the window and 1 guy is walking around and 1 guy is on his phone. We ordered 2 nacho fries, they made 1 order and put it in 2 cups. We would wait, just tell us to pull around to make another. Also I have never gotten a spicy potato soft taco that didn’t have 2 day old hard inedible potatoes on it. Rock hard potatoes. This is at 6:00 at night. Again I would wait however long it took to make new food and I think a lot of people would. It is clear that the management here is non existent or incompetent. Too bad to because we like Taco Bell. Corporate needs to step in here or this location will not make it.
Service and food produced have steadily declined in the last three years . I do not plan on ever getting food there any more. Last time I was there was a big disappointment. What I ordered was not what I got and was of very poor quality. I attempted to get a hold of management for a replacement but they would not respond to my phone message.
The manager that worked the morning of January 6th, 2023 is very good. They ran out of eggs and I ordered using rewards which isn't refundable. She gave me a few coupons, this not only made me happy, but will keep me coming back to use them. Thank you!
This is my 3rd bad experience at this Taco Bell... Cold, unsatisfying, uncooked food. Yes, it was fast, but not worth it! This time, they were open for takeout... the woman's bathroom door would not lock, and there were 2 tables that were obviously dirty with lettuce and cheese all over them. There is no point in wearing gloves if you are going to touch everything with the same pair of gloves food, cash, till, your face. I will stop at this BRAND NEW Taco Bell only for my soda and only if I fill it myself. Other Taco Bell stores deserve to have a nice restaurant setup like this!
Quick accurate service but food was cold, fries were soggy, nacho cheese had crust on it like it had sat around a while, and my hard shell taco was so greasy and soggy that the shell literally fell apart and I couldnt even pick it up to eat it! I know it's fast food but it didn't even meet the lowest standards in fast food.
Tried eating inside. When we walked in worker was on the customer side didn't say anything and walked away. Waited for 5 minutes for someone to take our order as the workers just walked by. Walked out. Be nice if someone would take an order and not rely on a computer to take our order.
This is not the first time this has happened. I ordered online this time in hopes they would get it right. I placed my order at 5:26, asked for it to be ready at 6:15. I went to pick it up inside, no one noticed me for 5 minutes at least . A guy who was taking drive up orders was extremely disrespectful! He would cover his mic and call customers ever name in the book ! When I finally got noticed a lady asked what I was doing. I stated I had an online order, she told me it wasn't started yet so I waited. I understand being short staffed but you can clearly see what I ordered. Half or my tacos didn't have even half of the meat it should, missing all the Supreme ingredients and the quasarito only had rice and a pinch of meat. I asked for taco sauce and didn't get any.
The last few times have been sub par. A few weeks ago we ordered our food in the drive through but did not receive all of it, when my husband went in to ask for the missing items the staff there was argumentative and tried to say we never ordered the items, yet we had it on the reciept. This last time we ordered the taco party pack, as you can see in the picture this taco was one of the better looking ones mind you they barely put anything on the taco, and it was only meat? And cheese.....i basically had 12 shells and enough filling for 1 taco. Waste of money and didnt feed my family like it was supposed to.
Firstly we waited in line for 25 min but that wasn’t so terrible to us because we were hoping our food would be nice and hot but it was not. We were missing a taco and another taco of ours was missing meat. And lastly most of our sauce packets had no sauce in them…. This Taco Bell used to be great but it’s terrible anymore. Would not recommend
Taco Bell of Brookings is consistently the worst fast food experience in the city. As many people have noted, it has seriously gone downhill over the past several years. Your food will likely be cold, haphazardly thrown together, or completely wrong. Today's experience was probably my final time going there. I was the only person at the restaurant. The person who helped me at the Drive-Thru was a little confused when I asked for no beans on my nachos. Not a crazy request, I thought. I also asked for a softshell taco and some jalapeno sauce. As you can imagine, none of that was correct. They also had no ice for my drink, which turned out to be pure syrup anyway. This is typical for this restaurant. Everyone I know has similar experiences, where their food is incorrect and the staff have been distracted, gossiping, or just plain ignoring them. This place cycles through employees like none other. What, if any, training they receive is certainly not up to standard. One time I went at 11:30AM and was turned away because there was only 1 employee there and he wasn't sure if any other person was going to come in that day. Something is wrong there, and at this point I doubt it can be fixed. To summarize: The service sucks, something is wrong with the management, and your food will be cold, wrong, or gross. Don't eat here.
