Food was excellent, especially the bechamel. Told the server that the Mango drink was not very sweet. It seemed like he got offended and stated they make it in house. He was nice enough to take it back an remake it. However after I was done eating he was walking back and forth between other customers and walking past me. Waited almost half an hour to pay. I had work I could do on my phone but there’s no way I should be waiting that long. It was disappointing but it is what it is. Probably not returning.

If you are fed-up with middle eastern and Labonese food then this is the best place we discovered after long time. Various authentic Egyptian dishes with different style of herbs, style and smell that change the flavor as it touch your tongue. With 3 options on indoor, outdoor and indoor big room, this place gives you a breeze of freshness. Staff is outstanding and explain you everything dish politely if you are non-egyptian like us. Their weekends are with Karioka with added food options. I highly recommend to visit here

I saw this place by coincidence and ever since I have been going there at least once a week. The food is so delicious and the menu is big. Breakfast is so good and lunch and dinner are amazing too. I tried Kushari, Hummus, Shawerma, dawood Bashayer, Kofta plate, Kabob plate, Tamiya. Every time I order a new thing and I never regret it. The staff is so friendly and lovely. If you are in Burlington and looking for a truly authentic Egyptian food, this is the place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Went to Karioka on sunday afternoon with my family. Around 3-4 tables were full. Ordered the Kebda eskanderani, chicken shawarma, macarona bechamel and shish tawouk plate. Service: 1/5 Each dish came out separately with a 15-2 minute gap between each. They forgot about the shish tawouk that was ordered. Water was not offered. Total restaurant trip took around 1.5 hours. Food: 4/5 The food was pretty fresh and tasted pretty good. The kebda eskanderani was delicious, and the other food was also above average. The price was pretty fair for the quantity and quality of food. The bread however was microwaved and not fresh at all which was annoying. Atmosphere: 2/5 It was kinda hot, I don’t think air conditioning was running. The tables were pretty stick due to the humidity and because of the cleaning supplies I’d imagine. There were also a couple mosquitos flying around. The decor is pretty nice though. Overall, pretty mediocre trip due to the disappointing service but the food made up for it. I probably wouldn’t dine here again though.

Hidden gem between industrial area in Burlington we found while driving and avoiding the highway … finally a proper restaurant / cafe .. High ceilings, excellent ventilation, very good space between tables and nostalgic decor The food is yummy .. we ordered what in the pictures yet the star was the macaroni bechamel baked in oven .. cheesy and yummy For drinks the fun yet flavourful hibiscuses drink was chill and just right amount of sweetness , not very sweet just the right amount . A little advise to order pickles and hot sauce to competent the flavours They do offer Shisha and they are good in making it , the good part is that the place is proper for smoking shisha and you don’t walk across clouds of smoke like other places The prices are good and affordable Finally the service was amazing .. they are very friendly and just treat you like a friend Must visit again especially they do live music Saturday at 9. We could not stay as we had to go pick up our kids from function they went into

Food is delicious. Flavourful yet no spicy. Hardly anyone was there on a Friday night! Best dishes cheese manatees, waraq enab, fatoush salad and shish tawook. Their loss in missing this gem of a restaurant. Waiter confused some of the orders but did get it straightened out. One of our group tried the hookah which added a sweet aroma to the night.

This is place is pretty big. The menu shows wide options of middle eastern food. However, the service is not great. The staff needs more knowledge of the menu, as well as customer service. It is pretty bad, unfortunately. I wish it could be a better restaurant because I can see the potential, but, maybe is not well managed. The food is great if you order for takeout, but, to dine in, it needs a better attention to the customer

New Karioka location in Burlington & I'm glad to have tried it. Overall, loved how much more spacious the place was and the details put into the design - from Egyptian hieroglyphics to pictures of Egypt to also honoring the French aspect of the place. I liked seeing that there are new menu items - which I'm looking forward to try more of soon. Stuff like filet mignon, feteer, tarb & more. My favourite item from the French Cafe has to be the choco-caramel. I ordered twice within a week and every time, it was as good as the first. I've been visiting Karioka since they first opened in the middle of a pandemic in early 2020 and have noticed a lot of improvement & better quality in the taste, food presentation & customer experience. Staff are also very friendly.
