Unreal flavours! Such a great spot for a quick sandwich in a New York style bagel! The garlic and barn spice bagel was amazing and really packed a punch. Adorable interior, quick service, and great food. Sausage and egg breakfast bagel was great, good amount of everything and the cheddar cheese was melted to perfection. I’ll definitely be back to try more on the menu!
This place is amazing. Never thought I would see someone meet JCs quality or surpass them. Bagel Barn does it… for a much lower price as well. There are more bagel varieties, the bagels are bigger, the toppings are better and free and also the people here are always friendly. Shoutout to Tamara for excellent service after a long drive. I will come here every time I’m in burlington and it is my new go-to recommendation for a bagel place.
I tried it twice , both times it tasted great , the egg bagel and pastrami bagel were great, the bagel sandwich is big and satisfying, planning to try all their menu , the staff was very friendly and helpful, had a quick chat with the owner and he is very genuine and wish him a good luck with his business, we need such places in Burlington, thumbs up
To start, I’m from New York and when I visited Bagel Barn, I had just returned from a trip to Manhattan where I ate a lot of bagels… I prefer NY style to Montreal as I only eat savoury bagels so the sweetness of a MTL doesn’t interest me, so I was interested to try a place selling NY style. The pros: I had a club on sesame and it was excellent, I took two Barn Spice home. These bagels compare favourably with those in NYC for size and chew. The cons: I found the flavours to be too trendy, most bagel shops offer the old standards onion, garlic, pumpernickel, salt… I see they advertise pumpernickel, but there wasn’t a bin for them the day I visited. I had no idea what Barn Spice meant, it seems like salt, pepper, and maybe parmesan cheese?, very good, but not my favourite. The other issue I had was the lack of a scallion or chive cream cheese, while this isn’t the only shop that omits this flavour, it’s a standard in the NY shops. If they have the flavours you like, the bagels and sandwiches are excellent, if you’re more of a boring traditionalist like me, you’ll be just a tad disappointed.
Love their veggie bagel sandwiches on barn spice. They now have 'sweet barn spice' which is my new favourite. Reading some of these reviews, I can't believe the complaints about price and service. I go here once every couple of weeks to get a couple of veggie sandwiches, and service has always been great. And $8.99 for a fresh bagel with cream cheese and any toppings you want? Who can beat that? Ignore the negative reviews, they seem fabricated to me. Will keep going regularly. I will offer one suggestion though..... ranch would be an outstanding addition to the sauce choices... would go great with the veggie sandwich, and other meat sandwiches as well :
Amazing bagels! They are so authentic, and I have never been somewhere with more options to choose from! Staff are very friendly, be prepared to wait on weekends as it is quite busy!
I love bagels: Montreal Style, New York Style...heck, I've even tried baking my own style not worth the effort!. I'm a bit of a purist and prefer simple sesame bagels but my daughter loves "everything". Bagel Barn has such a great selection: something for everyone in the family. I like to slice them up and store them in the freezer for quick and easy breakfasts and lunches. Bagel Barn's New York style bagels are generously sized and toast up with a nice crispy exterior and a soft chewy interior and I appreciate the generous topping of sesame seeds.
Woke up on Sunday morning craving a great bagel sandwich. Found Bagel Barn! What a game changer… The bagel itself is warm, crunchy and fresh! I got the pea meal and egg with Swiss. I really don’t want this to end and I’m taking small bites on purpose. Definitely check this place out. I think I’m falling in love all over again!
Great Bagels...got a dozen. A very different style than the wood oven ones I usually get which was nice to try. I'll definitely go back for a bagel sandwich, but the price point for a dozen bagels was too high for my one bagel per day diet.
I can't believe that a great place like this has been off my radar. They have the best selection of fresh made bagels, and offer a wide variety of sandwich options. If you're in the area you simply MUST check this place out, you won't be sorry and you'll probably go home with a dozen assorted bagels :-
