This is a great hardware store. Kara and Scott organized our deck project and thought of everything. Deck boards and the Regal railing worked out great. Good prices and excellent service. They also have an outstanding assortment of nuts and bolts. Thank you!
I came into the store today looking for paint for a bathroom reno my wife and I are currently doing. Amber and Emily in the paint department were awesome to deal with. They were very patient and helpful which made the experience a good one. This store has a great friendly vibe to it since all the renovations have been done. Any Home related reno purchase will be done here next time it is needed! Thanks Again!
1 star because I got what I ordered. 1 star for the cheerful, friendly girl who took my call initially. The customer service started off great, but once I got redirected it was totally different. The man hardly spoke two words to me, couldn't answer my questions and when I pulled up to the curbside I was told "If you could use a credit card next time, that would save us a transaction." I paid debit. No "hello", no "thanks", no "have a good day". I get that it's a busy time, but these are the absolute basics of customer service. And as someone who's worked in retail... is inputting a debit transaction really that difficult??

Pam was so super helpful! I called in looking for a specific garbage can and Pam really went above and beyond for me. She told me that she thought the item would be on the truck's shipment for that day, so she took my number and went off to verify. She texted me back from her personal cell phone to follow up with me right away. They indeed did have one and it was held for me, to guarantee I would be able to receive it. Then, I went into the store to pick it up and was treated with nothing but kindness and respect from every staff member I spoke with. This pandemic has been hard on everyone and the staff at this Home Hardware were very helpful and wonderful and I'm now a forever customer. 10/10 would recommend.

First times dealing with this store. Allan in building supplies was just the absolute best. Did not have the product I was looking for but suggested an alternative that works just as well. My curbside order was ready at the specific time I needed it. Will definitely be dealing with them instead of the local "box store"
Extremely impressed with the customer service. During the summer of 2020 I had ordered a patio set that I expected to come in 2 boxes which would fit in my car, unfortunately the item came in one large box and wouldn't fit. The employees went above and beyond to problem solve and helped deliver the product for me. Great experience and very friendly staff!
VERY Poor service from new owners and management. This place has gone down hill since new owners have taken over. Beware when they make a mistake, it just does not matter how it affects their customers. Jim the manager was rude on the phone even after the poor experience at the store and basically said too bad and shop elsewhere if you want. I have shopped at this location for over 20 years but since the new ownership its just not the same. In my opinion these new owners don't care about their customers. To all who read this remember it is your hard earned money to spend so make sure get treated fairly and with respect because that was not the case in my experience at Garden City Home Hardware.
This was my 1st time visiting this store & I would recommend it to Everyone!!! We were greeted at the door by an Amazing Person & she helped us find Exactly what we were looking for. I will Definitely be returning to this store for any of my future household projects.
