Jester's Court Pub & Eatery

We arrived just before the restaurant opened at 12:00 and saw people already lining up outside, which got us excited since we had seen so many great reviews online. It was our first time visiting Port Perry, and we came specifically to try this restaurant.nnUnfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. When it was our turn, the hostess asked how many people, and we said “two people & my dog” and asked to be seated on the patio. She told us the restaurant is not pet-friendly, and even if we waited another 10–15 minutes or longer, she still couldn’t guarantee a patio seat for us, we don't know what she mean!nnWhat made us feel even worse was that the restaurant was completely empty at the time. We thought maybe all the tables had been reserved, but we overheard others behind us in line — also without reservations — being seated on the patio without issue.nnWe were especially disappointed by the unfriendly attitude of the hostess at the entrance. This was not the warm welcome we were hoping for, and sadly it left a very negative first impression.

Yesterday was a beautiful day to sit on a patio . My wife and I ordered the Beef Dip and fries . Fries were good . The meat in the beef dip tasted old and very very dry . Thank god for the Au Jus ! Mentioned it to waitress . Said she would tell the kitchen to start soaking beef in Au Jus ! Lol how about just having fresher meat available for your beef dip sandwiches. A beef dip sandwich is usually my go to when we visit a Pub . I have had many throughout the years . This was one was the worst we’ve ever had .

Great pub - large, clean, cozy and friendly staff/service. There is a good amount of food choices here as well. If you can make reservations, I would advise you to do so. This place gets very busy and being a walk in...I had to wait a little bit but respectfully. The food is consistent and not bland and with a big enough portion to keep you full for a while. As far as pubs go, this is a good one to go to.

This place is a good stop to do for dinner in Port Perry. I was visiting from far far away and went here by chance and glad I did. They had seating inside and on the patio. I sat on the patio so the view was alright faces a park and Main Street. Parking would be easy to find but is limited because it’s on the Main Street. Washroom inside on multiple floors. They had some cool decorations inside like a suit of armour. Had a Caesar here if you like it hot I’d recommend the reaper Caesar. Had muscles for an app and they would probably top 10 best muscles I’ve ever had. My partner had the chicken bah mi and it was good and I had the chicken Parmesan which came with cooked veggies and a pasta side. Portions were large. Service was good. Would return to eat here!

Snagged a table on the shady side of the patio. Salad special - spinach, peaches, walnuts, feta - avail in 2 sizes, larger was shared by 2 as a side. Paired well with lobster cakes served with alioli. Classic beef burger comes with soup, salad or fries with cheese and bacon are extra - sweet potato fries are extra - was delicious and filling. Half pint of house lager hit the spot on this very warm day.nVery good service.
