Halibut Time Fish & Chips

This place has a nice selection of food and the staff is nice but the prices are pretty high

Good way to start the day on the way up north. Typical breakfast with typical prices. Quick service. Friendly staff. Clean washrooms.

*Update: I used to love this restaurant but the last couple of times was a bit disappointing, portion of the fish went way down, I think maybe because of the all you can eat haddock special but I was ordering for take out and the fish was smaller than the box, price was the same as dine in all you can eat. Feel very ripped off, not planning on driving all the way there for that.* This restaurant "Halibut Time" is located in the Esso gas station plaza next to the Mac's convenience store. A lot of people confuse this restaurant with "Halibut House" two stores down. We used to go Halibut House mainly because it is more visible from the street until we discovered this hidden gem. I've been to this restaurant numerous times and never had a bad experience. Great fish and chips, great service and good price. The place is really clean.

The staff is super friendly but the food is meh. This is our back up spot to eat in town.

I would like to leave a good review but they closed as my wife and I were opening the door. They said it was slow so they were closing for the day! (3 in the afternoon?) Must thank them though,the "Halibut House" just down the road was open and had the best F&C ever. We have been back several times and recommend it highly!!!
