J'Adore Beauty Bar and Lounge

My experience of this salon was really disappointing. My therapist couldn’t have been less enthused to be there and didn’t make any effort to ensure I enjoyed my first visit, including not making me aware of the drinks menu or offering me a drink. It also took an inordinate amount of time - a shellac pedicure and SNS manicure took 2 hours and 50 minutes. $140 later and I won’t be back.

I went in and it was a lovely spot. My nails looked great afterwards but I spent 100$ on SNS nails which are just another version of acrylics, maybe a week and a half later they started to lift which has never happened to me and just now my nail ripped right off taking more than half of my real nail with it. It hurts to much, like terrible. It’s not worth 100$ and the little nail place across from it does a better job.

Very disappointed. I booked a regular manicure as I wanted to treat myself. When I got there, I had to look for someone to greet me. No one at the bar even looked up until I said something. I was asked to remove my shoes, and told the reason was to keep their floors clean. I refused due to the fact the floors were not clean, and there were dirty foot prints all through the salon. When I sat down with my nail tech, she said a whole two sentences to me in the hour I was there. No greeting, no offer of any beverages. Not even a glass of water. She didn't try to up sell anything. When I looked around I noticed the shelves were quite dusty. A girl sat down next to me to get her shellac polish taken off. It was at that moment I was glad I was not offered a beverage, and if I had one, pieces of old nail polish would have flown into my beverage. The nail tech beside us did not car about what she was doing. I also noticed the very old sponge being used to clean glass wear. GROSS! Customer service is very poor and unacceptable. Services was basic. Should have saved my money.

First time going, still waiting for my toe polish to dry as i write this. Calm and relaxing environment... Very attentive staff. 11/10

I went for a manicure (shellac) and an eyebrow wax. The manicure was done well. I have no complaints. The eyebrow wax was acceptable -- I had to pluck a few missed hairs at home. The service was good too. For example, it was too cold for my card to work on the parking meters. I asked if the aesthetician would be able to give me some change and add it to my bill. She agreed, and I thought that was great. However, she did have her cell out and checked a text when it came through. My biggest problem is that the space was simple ok. The waxing room was super cramped, and wasn't as clean as I would like. It would not want to get anything more than an eyebrow wax done in that room. The bathroom was old and not as nice as I expected it to be. I was also surprised to be charged (almost $4) for a coffee. I get that it is sort of like a bar, but I have never been charged for coffee or tea at similar establishments. On the whole, it is not that I would tell people not to go there, but I will not be returning.
