One word!nAmazing!nThe facility is for both school and salah.nIt was jummah time. There were ample space for parking. But quickly it was filled up. Then the imam was very passionate about the khutbah.nThere was separate prayer area for Woman and Man. But it was like Haram Mosque. The woman prays behind mans hall. The facility is really welcoming for the young muslim children.nIt was soothing and welcoming.
ISNA Masjid is truly a gem in the community. Even though it’s about 20 minutes away from me, I make the effort to attend Friday prayers there whenever I can. The khutbahs are always meaningful, and the atmosphere is welcoming and spiritually uplifting.nWhat really stands out about ISNA is that it’s more than just a masjid — it's a hub for learning, growth, and community support. They offer a variety of Islamic activities for all ages, as well as sports programs, many of which are free. It’s a great place for families and individuals alike to connect and grow in their faith.nISNA also runs a school, which adds another layer of service to the community, and they're consistently involved in outreach efforts. Their food bank is just one example of how they help support the less fortunate.nOverall, ISNA Masjid is a place that combines faith, education, and community service beautifully. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
Overall nice masjid, however there needs to be a much more heavy emphasis on hygiene. The wudu station has a bad stench, and the prayer carpet if often dirty, it should be cleaned much more frequently. There have been times i’ve seen nails scattered on the floor. I know this isn’t really a reflection on the masjid, and it’s more shameless individuals, but regardless in a house of Allah hygiene should be a tremendous priority.
Edit - wallah these high school kids ruin the masjid. So many of them come in the masullah to joke around, talk and gossip, while serious people are trying to worship Allah. As a revert I’m disgusted by the behaviour of these born Muslims being raisednnBeautiful masjid, great khutbahs, but people are too inconsiderate with disability parking spots. Yes you need salah, but stop inconveniencing others. People will park on the side walk, in the section meant to be clear for van accessibility… laa. And to have a food truck taking up some disability parking spots?? Total pain in the butt, it makes others lives more difficult, and it’s just a shock to see as a revert. The lineup to get inside the masjid is crazy, you have to get there at Maghrib for isha time nnAlways donate to any masjid you enter May Allah always call us to his house
Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to visit ISNA Canada several times this past summer, and I just want to say that Subhan Allah, the ISNA Canada community is amazing. The organization does an incredible amount of work for the community, especially investing in the Muslim youth, empowering them, supporting their growth, and helping them strengthen their connection with Islam in meaningful and practical ways.nnOf course, like any community, ISNA Canada is not without areas for improvement. However, it’s equally important to recognize and appreciate the tremendous positive impact it continues to have across the GTA. Allahumma barik, the masjid, the programs, and the scholars and speakers they invite are consistently beneficial, relevant, and well-grounded in knowledge.nnNo community is perfect, but ISNA Canada genuinely deserves recognition for its dedication and efforts. When shortcomings or mistakes occur, it is far more productive to uplift our institutions with sincere advice and constructive feedback rather than criticism or antagonism.nnI pray that Allah SWT continues to bless and elevate this community, grant its leadership and volunteers wisdom and sincerity, preserve their faith and keep them steadfast, and make ISNA Canada an even greater source of khayr for Muslims
