IKUSA Izakaya & Tokyo Market

This is one of my favorite places to go now to eat. The food was served hot, fresh, seasoned perfectly and super delicious. The staff were all super friendly, quick to get us seated and helpful explaining the menu, as this was the first time coming here for food. We had the one cook come out with food and to check to make sure everything was good and all came out to table. I did read reviews prior to going to restaurant and found that some were not very good that had been posted. I found those posts to be very untrue and enjoyed this lovely restaurant, the service, the food and the prices. Give it go and try it out!

What a place! Dining room design is very trendy yet has that authentic Japanese vibe, at least to my eyes! There’s a lot of unique design features in the interior design of the place. Long tables seats six-eight, so very good place to eat with family or friends. The food even taste better! Not only do they look great but taste great too! We ordered some Ramens and rolls and skewers to name a few and all were a treat to our taste buds. Service is top-notch too, with friendy servers that lets you know what’s available. A very satisfying first dining experience that makes us want to come back to try the other items from the menu. We came to dine in at around 9:30 PM so parking on the street was not a problem, but I imagine it would be in the daytime. Still, highly recommended!

Totally lucked out finding this place! Great vibe, service and amazing food! Their truffle prawn roll and creamy scallop roll was some of the best sushi I've ever had including ones I've had in Japan! The truffle combination was so unique and so flavorful and the scallop was super fresh with big chunks of sweet scallop on top. Highly recommend! All other items we had were tasty too Pork Belly Yakitori!

We enjoyed our food overall. It was quite busy and seemed understaffed at times. Extremely long waits between dishes and had to ask 3 times for a new beverage. Our food however was not bad. Service was super slow and food came out super slow also which was expected at first as it was busy but by the time we left the room was half empty. We had to ask and continue asking to order more food or get a new menu to do that. Overall not bad but nothing super great. Be expected to wait

The service can be a hit or miss. Most recent visit, the waitress tall Asian girl tipped herself 20% and handed the machine over. That isn’t right, I have never seen anyone do that in a restaurant before. We were a group of 3 and didn’t order that much stuff. Just be careful when coming here and make sure you’re being charged correctly. Other than that, the food is really good, taste fresh.

Ikusa is one of our favourite places to go for date night & to bring our friends from out of town! Great prices, delicious food, and quick, friendly service. Highly recommend their rainbow roll & truffle prawn rolls! Parking: Street parking available

Love this Japanese restaurant! Authentic Japanese food that is really tasty and super delicious! Everyone is very friendly and dining here is a nice experience. When ordering, the server is not intimidating and don’t rush you to make up your mind right away There is also a ready to go meals that you can grab if time to dine doesn’t permit your busy day.

Fantastic place to have a nice sushi dinner with friends. The Fukucho Yuzu lemon Sake with the PEI and West coast oysters was out of this world combination. Our waiter recommended the Japanese oysters next time we're in. Can't wait to go back! The sashimi, toro, salmon, and mackerel is damn good. Can't get any fresher than this. The rolls are as good as what they offer at Kinjo. Knowing that this is part of the Kinjo family of restaurants, the quality is excellent! Service is excellent! ...,and the art work! .. Love it!

Good food with reasonable price. Ramen is okay but not the best as the texture is too soft. Raw oysters are very fresh and the best value.

Have ordered consistently good takeout from IKUSA a few times. The fish always tastes fresh, portion sizes are standard. Only suggestion I have to bump up to a 5 is to lighten up on the sauces and tempura batter crumbs. Offering a side of sushi rice would be a great addition too!
