Story

Inspired by a popular district in Japan, the Shibuya station, we wanted to create a casual place to enjoy tapas style dishes, Sushi/Sashimi, and a variety of Sake. Established in 2007, Shibuya Izakaya has been providing a warm, relaxing atmosphere for all ages, suitable for families. Our restaurant has been featured in the Calgary Herald, fast forward weekly, Swerve Magazine, and Urban Spoon.

I've been eating here for years and have never had a bad experience. Always fresh and consistent, definitely my favorite sushi restaurant. Their ramen is good too.
Service was excellent and the online ordering was user friendly and fast. In fact, I wish all restaurants implemented this ordering system. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The specials fresh oysters and uni were quite disappointing as they weren’t fresh at all.
One of my favorite Japanese resto in Calgary. Been going here since early 2000. I feel like they are underrated. Flavors are really good, clean and authentic. They don't have fancy menu or fusion foods but that's what I like about it. Japanese foods are suppose to be "simple", tasty but prepared in the best way possible.
This place is unquestionably one of the most pleasant place in the region. Always when I come there I am extremely happy. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they provide. You surely will enjoy this this place. Warmly recommended.
What a little hidden gem. The sushi was fresh and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Their salmon belly and uni was excellent!
Always like coming here as food and service are great. Sashimi is fresh. The rolls are a good size too. Parking can be a pain but that's due to the lot size.
I simply enjoyed their food. I always get great service there. The place is neat and the cashiers are always welcoming. Will come visit again.
I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are yummy and the team is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we enjoy a delightful evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
