Moon Korean BBQ

Came here for dinner with my family at around 6 pm. It wasn’t busy when we got there but after sitting for about 20 minutes the place quickly filled up. Everything we ordered was good and the meat platter was super fresh. I wasn’t a big fan of the rice cake stew though… maybe I will try and order the pork bone next time. Service was quick and efficient.

Really chill and clean aesthetics here. Ordered the beef combo, the meat looks and tastes really fresh. Drinks menu is also great. Would love to see more sauces or condiments for different flavours. Service could have be a bit better. They also don't switch grills for you.

Atmosphere was lovely, portions were perfect, food was delicious. I wished it was a bit spicier but the taste was great. The service was also super friendly and fast. Inside it feels cozy and it's all booth style so you feel comfy.

MOON KOREAN BBQ Chinatown - Lunch bento boxes, one with spicy pork rib and one with fried chicken - both come with miso soup and sides pictured: kimchi, potatoes, radish, veg tempura, rice... and the onion salad, always the onion salad so good. The pork rib was pretty tender and lots of flavour and the chicken portion was absolutely massive and boneless. We come here for weekday lunches but they are open for dinner too. Not super pretty inside but isn't that part of the fun? Also, we enjoy their bibimbap and gamjatang. They also have table top cooking.

Came here for lunch while on work trip in Calgary fall 2022. Stayed at a Airbnb round the corner and was initially hesitant as the exterior did not look like much. We had a meat platter BBQ and it was excellent, one of the best I’ve had. The food is simple but fresh and delicious. Will definitely return if back in town.

Enjoyed the food, found it kinda plain found my self looking for sauce or something to put on my rice and meat, asked for spicy mayo and it never came, large portions and one of the better in table grills I have used in the city service was slow but they were very busy and it was boxing day

This is a great hidden gem, we didn't have to wait here, got in showed our vacation certi. And one to the menu. For Gogi lover this is paradise. We took seafood pancake and bulgogi in two variations. The food is amazing and the Banchan is great. Hoping they get fish cake and anchovies as well. The staff is great and will help you with selection for those not sure about ordering. Will love to go back here.

Moon Combo A ton of food! Great presentation with simple elegant flavours. The sushi rice on the side was a nice touch.  I really enjoyed the large assortment of sides with the BBQ dish. There was so much food we didn't even get to the pork bone hot pot. Had to take it to go.

For the price I was expecting a more upscale restaurant atmosphere but after trying the cuts they provide it’s hard to beat. Was just in Calgary for a day trip and am very glad I got to stop here, the bbq really was one of the best Korean bbq I’ve had yet.

Would return. Highly recommend. Classic korean joint but with set combos of all of the best things they offer. The cold noodle/naengmyeon is fantastic, fresh and spicy. The noodles have that chew and the sauce is sweet and spicy. I wish they included a bit more beef and pickles. Their salad dressing is absolutely delicious - super tangy and fresh. Fried chicken was perfect - it was clearly freshly fried being super crispy and crunchy, whilst retaining all the moisture. Ribs are par, with a nice smoke from the grill, tho the portion is not super large in the combo, approx 5 bones worth. Overall, with kpop in the background, nice private dining thanks to the walls - I highly recommend this place.
