Story

Bookers has been around since 1998 when it was first conceived by Lance and Bruce. They wanted a restaurant lounge that celebrated southern cooking, bbq and seafood, something Calgary didn't have yet. Mardi Gras was a big part of Bookers and was celebrated with crab races (you can still see the racing circle on the floor near the new bar), and plenty of beads and masks.

Solid 4.5. Had such a fun time here. Food was cooked well. Both the ribs and crab were very delicious. A bit pricy for the all you can eat but somewhat understandable. Outside patio needs a few more touches to enhance this to a 5 star experience. I will be back for sure. Just gotta save up so I can eat a few more creatures.

Went for the tacos, tried the shrimp, cod and pulled pork and they were all delicious. Would definitely go back again!

This spot clearly knows how to treat their customers. Always with a very nice demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, regularly delightful and neat.

We all had the Booker's burger. It was really big and tasty. I'd maybe add more sauce to it. The fries were very good as well.  We had a great wine, the Chianti red. The service was quite good and very friendly. They knew a lot about their food for our picky friend and everything is made in house which is great.
