Great spot for a bite to eat especially on a Saturday afternoon, when other restaurants have long waits, Bincho has a lot of seating so we didn't have to wait at all. I love their lunch set options; everyone at my table loved the set they chose and was satiated by the end of the meal. It might not look like a lot of food but it is! My grilled fish lunch set was amazing--would get again. They have a cool menu and I'd love to try other stuff in the future!
Foods taste and quality is very average or below. Doesn’t match up with the price tag. I don’t like the beef Tataki at all, I don’t know which parts of the cow the meat was from, but the texture was worse than most AYCE Fusion places or the beef in Vietnamese noodle soup. The meat is probably good enough to use in Chinese stir fry. And the sauce was really salty. The cabbage salad was so sad, what the heck, we ordered because we thought it would be like pickled cabbage or like kimchi style when the waitress explained to us. But not expecting only a few big pieces of plain leaves with little bit of sesame oil and sprinkle of seaweed. Totally tasteless, and they charged how much? $6-7 don’t remember. You can buy a whole head of cabbage for less then $4. I don’t think they are organic…. Anyway we didn’t even want to finish the plate even though it was an expensive cabbage “salad” The “uni” was so so, can’t say it’s yummy. The sashimi plate was not impressed neither. Didn’t like all the tuna pieces, the sockeye salmon and the shrimp were not bad. Only decent dish was the mango roll. It was the only thing I enjoyed for the whole dining experience. We didn’t seem to understand anything that the waitress was saying when we asked her able the menu items. I don’t know, may be the background music was too loud, we can’t really hear her soft voice. After $100+ for 2 of us. I am still hungry and not satisfied. Crossed off from my list.
We had a delicious 9 course omakase dinner at Bincho. The service was excellent and most of the food was delicious. The only thing keeping this meal from being 5 stars is the fact that the skewers were totally bland and the short ribs were very tough. The chef really knows how to bring out the best in seafood but the meat dishes were pretty disappointing.
This place has a fun vibe and pleasant service. We ordered some cocktails and they brought mine to me first, then my spouse's about 5 minutes later, which was a little awkward as we like to cheers and enjoy our drinks together. I got the 'Seiyo Ceasar' and it was more weird with the whiskey rather than vodka than I would have liked. My boyfriend got the 'Gin Matcha' and thought it was all right, but would not order it again. They were served with a lot of ice in very skinny glasses for the higher price of $15 each. We'll stick with beer or straight spirits next time around. We ordered an uni roll amazing, our first time trying it and although very pricy, totally worth it. We also got some yakitori: pork neck - INCREDIBLE; beef tongue - so well seasoned; mochi bacon - not my favourite, similar to tteok-bokki; oyster mushrooms - meaty and flavourful. In addition, we got some gyoza and found the wrapper was tastier than the filling. Overall it was a lovely experience and we will come back to try more of their offerings!
Great service. Small bites of skewers not salty or overly seasoned at all, reasonable pricing, and very cozy, family-friendly environment! Love it!!!
Excellent. Must visit while in town. Great food and service. Even the genmacha tea is of the highest quality. Pictured don't lie. Highly recommended.
Great service and food. 5 out 5 hidden gem. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s craving for Japanese skewers and also pasta and sashimi !
The service at this restaurant was great! Our server checked up on us once in a while and made sure everything was okay. We came here for a birthday and it so happens to be New Year’s Eve and a lot of the things we wanted were out of stock because they were going to close for new years but it was disappointing because we were hoping to get high end sashimi but none of it was in stock. I’d say 3/4 of the things we wanted weren’t in stock and so we had to choose items off of the menu that weren’t quite our first choice. I also found it odd that the menu didn’t have updated prices and were told so when we ordered. So because we came here for a special occasion, we both came out a bit disappointed in our first experience there.
Hokkaido  uni 30.00 per Extremely creamy and a bit salty. The uni was bursting with sea flavour. Reallly delclicious and the color was brighter, so no bitter taste. The rice and seaweed complimented the overwhelming taste. Wagyu mayo fries crunchy fries with seaweed bits on it.  The mayo adds the sweetness with salty fries. You can taste a the slight beefy texture in it Mango roll Paste wasabi  on the side Mango, avocado, eel, with rice. It's simple, but too simple. The flavors were subtle but didn't stand out. Takoyaki very crunchy and soft in the inside, octopus really stands out , flavorful. Not too much mayo Mochi bacon Mochi has a sweet and chewy texture with cheese. Thr bacon has a nice heavy smokey flavor with a tad bit salt Chili garlic tuna roll Simple Maki with spicy tuna on top, this is very clean tasting and easy on the stomach. Thr bottom has a crispy Crum batter either garlic or tempura Strawberry chu hi 9.00 Shochu with seltzer water with whole strawberries and  mints. The shochu doesn't hit as hard but you can taste a slight bitter from it. Was not sweet at all Kazuki Idaho karage- sauce is like Frank's hot sauce with mayo combined, a kick of spicy and salty. The crispy batter on the octopus is so good with its salty texture with thr sauce Tonkatsu- broth is really rich with people bone and creamy flavors. Chewy noodles with vibrant colors. Thr pork belly is nicely cooked, a bit underwhelming
The service is pretty good. But the food is mediocre at best. The tempura dough is too thick and greasy and the shrimp isn’t very good either. I’d expect more from a la carte place. Some AYCE make better tempuras.
