IGA Van Horne

Rude and curt staff, items not properly priced. I've been shopping here for decades. The decor is now on par with other IGA s, and no longer dark and shabby. BUT: some staff remain curt, sale items sell out too quickly, loud stock boys frequently block isles, the ready-made food section is sub par (to put things nicely), and sometimes when prices change they'll just remove the price tags without adding new ones: leaving items with no price till it's scanned.

AVOID!!! Terrible service went at 6pm for a full cooked bbq chicken there was none like usual I ask the lady nicely when they will be done she said at least 30min and other ppl were waiting as well and they were not happy the lady turned around and said to an other customer « Honestly it’s not my problem !!! » in a very rude way .. I looked at the timer on the oven and it said 2min I went around the store and came back sure enough they were ready but the lady took her time... she slowly put every chicken in every container and took like 20min to take them out knowing 5 ppl were waiting.. NOT IMPRESSED honestly borderline insulted!!! I worked at a grocery store before chickens must be out for 4pm for the supper rush not hard to figure out !!

One of the most saddest places to visit. The atmosphere is depressing. Everything seems to be thrown together. Mainly caters to jewish clients. Ethnic food items and organic foods are adequate. Despite being a regular shopper (because it's the only one near) cashiers treat you like you are being stingy even though everything in the place is expensive. If I could shop anywhere else i would.

IGA I have no idea how IGA is making money the staff , nothing special about them but the parking lot is getting busier every year !!

Spacious compared to other supermarkets in the area. Would be nice if there would be less meat and more vegan food.
