Ichiban Sushi

Amazing food. The sushi's were huge and probably double the size of what we get elsewhere. The owners were super sweet and gracious and u can tell are proud of the food they serve. We are 3 different types of veggie rolls and a shrimp roll .all th good was excellent. So happy to have been here. Highly recommend this place.

This is my go to place for at when I’m on King Street. I usually order the Charisha Bowl which is Sashimi 4 types of fish with rice, miso soup and salad. I also have the sashimi lunch which is similar. Also good on menu is Volcano Roll, avocado crunch amongst many other special rolls. Their fish is notably fresh, the chefs and lady who serves the customers are super friendly consistently. If you want Japanese at a reasonable price and great service then this is the place.

Friendly owner, we come here often. She remembers and greets us like her favorite customers. We always like the food, but somehow the sushi we ordered lately was somewhat different, the rice is not as smooth?. The presentation was very nice, see picture.

Such amazing service and food! Been out of the country for a short bit and was CRAVING sushi. Had high expectation to satisfy my craving. Gave Ichiban Sushi a try and was not disappointed at all! Called the restaurant to ask a couple clarifying questions before making the order on Skip. One of the best phone interaction with a restaurant! She was patient and answered all my questions with kindness. Food arrived quickly with great presentation. Rice to fish ratio was great. Would def order here again!

Delicious sushi! But chopsticks are always missing! Second time ordering sushi from here. First order was missing chopsticks. Second time, I specifically asked if chopsticks are in the bag when I was picking up. Owner said yes! Came home and no chopsticks. How am I supposed to eat sushi? With fork?

I’ve been recently buying sushi for me & my family a lot from here! Even though I lived in this neighborhood over 20 plus years & wasn’t a big sushi fan! We always get just the California rolls. But will to try different types as I learn more about them. This place has made me a sushi lover now! Lol . Staff are super friendly & the food is always made to order & super duper fresh & good!

Everything there tasted bad. The food was not fresh at all and you can taste how stale it was. Miso soup was like soap water, sushi rice was mushy and the ingredients were all off-coloured like it was few days old. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

My boyfriend and I came from out of town and stopped by here last minute but turned out to be better than expected ! Owners were so nice and food was great ! Very cute and cozy in there

Shockingly rude service. I asked to use the restroom quickly before ordering, they refused, which can be understood if people have misused restroom privileges at their establishment before, but then I asked If I could still order some sushi and they wouldn’t even look at me. Just shoo’d me away like trash and said “go to Tim Hortons”. I was quite confused because I can’t buy sushi at Tim Hortons. I can’t stress enough how rude and dismissive these people were; I’ve been in the service industry for years and the way I was treated here truly was deplorable. EDIT: I can’t even express how far the response I’ve received to this reveiew is from what actually happened. There was no “berating”. There was a single request to “quickly use the restroom” - and I was immediately treated like trash, with there response of “NO!!!! GO TO TIM HORTON!!!!” I asked where Tim Hortons is, and they wouldn’t look at me. I asked, could I at least still order some food? With no mention that I would order food of they let me use the bathroom?? I straight up just asked if I could still order sushi They continued to treat me like trash refusing to look at me and simply shooing me away. I was dressed nicely, clean, polite… I’m not reviewing because I couldn’t use the restroom, I am reviewing because they refused to serve me and treated me with less respect than I give actual garbage.
