Hudson's Bay

The Bay department store was a very old traditional Canadian chain.nYears ago it was sold to a much larger group and has deuterated to a point of going bankrupt so is closing stores across Canada.nThe Bay is not restocking so have much less to choose from, close to empty of customers the last two visits .nHurry up if you want to visit this very old traditional department store.

Extremely unhappy with our experience at the Bay when purchasing furniture. We bought a couch on April 27th with the promise of deliver on May 26th. Knowing this information, we arranged to have our old couch picked up the day before delivery as we live in an apartment and space is hard to come by. Delivery day comes and we spend over 4 hours on hold with Customer Service and nobody picks up. No delivery. We then spend another 3 hours on hold the following day to discover that the delivery day has been moved to the end of July with no notice. This week has been spent with back and forth calls with no help from the Bay to provide us an alternative solution. Finally we give up and ask for a refund only to be told we have to go back in to the store to receive it! There were multiple failure points along this journey - we know delays happen but why were we not notified? So now we're without a couch for 2 months, could we purchase a floor model instead to just get a resolution in place? Any discount for all of this trouble? No? Ok.... Honestly just extremely disappointed in the general mismanagement and overall attitude from the Bay employees and their providers. We will never be purchasing furniture or ANYTHING for delivery from them ever again. I'm telling everyone I come across about this horrible saga.

Great sales guaranteed. Bit disappointing that most services are being cut down like basic escalators not working and 3 of 4 lifts out of service. Skeleton staff meaning it’s not the most smooth shopping experience but got what we wanted at a good price and always come back

I have been a Hudson's Bay shopper for over 25 years. From furniture for my home, to all things for every room in my home, to fashion, for every member of the family, to cosmetics, kitchen needs, well, everything! Customer service has always been excellent. Yesterday was a perfect example. The service I received from Raman Jhuti in the process of ordering my new bedroom furniture, arranging delivery - excellent. She was efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous.nI LOVE The Bay! I've been saying for years - I should be in ads for them.

Wanted to pick up the table we ordered a few weeks ago. Tried calling multiple phone numbers for the West Vancouver Bay store and couldn’t reach anyone. This mid-day on a Saturday. No answer for curbside pick up or any department, even at customer service. Terrible service.
