Hotel Quartier Des Spectacles

I want to give a better review. The location is great and the price affordable and most of the staff acceptable. However,as I am writing this it is midnight on a Thursday and the strip club across the street has music SO LOUD, the dishes in the weird-not-fully-equipped-kitchen are vibrating. The staff person informs me legally this can go on until 3:00 am. She also tells me many people like this environment AND the noise. Just now I can hear the emcee announcing the next "nekid laydeee" to hit the pole. Now please understand it is 20 degrees below zero and all windows are closed. If there would have been information about the environment and noise, I never would have booked this place. If I could find another room I would. Apparently it is not just legal to be this disruptive to a 2 square block area in Montreal, it is encouraged. Really, nothing against strip clubs, I just don't want to sleep in one. And apparently I won't until at least 3 AM. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT.

D section room (cross over a deck to get to a separate building), 2 Queen beds, hardwood floors, mini kitchenette, tall standing window a/c. It was a nice room, a/c worked, the curtain is cut a bit short for the a/c, good price. We would stay there again.

The hotel's location is awesome. Walking distance to 2 subway station, an art hub and the old city. The room is clean, stylish and spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

The location was really good and it was very clean. But I have several problems with our room. First of all, WIFI never worked. I went to talk to the reception several times and they were like, no you're mistaken, it works. I told them, yes, it works fine in the lobby but in area D, there is no wifi or whatsoever. One guy was waving his hand to me in a very rude way and didn't want to help. Another issue was that the window wouldn't close . It was very noisy especially considering there is a big construction side right outside.

Great location! The rooms have tall ceilings and the studios rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Walking distance to all the shops on St. Laurent, Chinatown and other attractions like concert venues and theatres.
