Hotel Alma

The food was not too great. The rooms were adequate for the work event I attended. The showers did not heat up and the shower head had green and white crusts on it. Rooms had common areas with mirrors and hangars but no mirrors or hangers inside private spaces.

The hotel was nice, beds and pillows left something to be desired but definitely not the worst I've slept in. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The wifi is a bit slow but it's useable. However, the biggest downfall is the shower. Not because of the size or the pressure, that was all good. But if you have children, or if you're just a bit of a fool like me, you will probably flood the bathroom. There isn't a notice or anything that says, "Hey so if you have this shower head facing the wrong way then you'll be soaking up soapy water with sopping wet towels and probably feel a lot like a pirate swabbing the deck of a ship in a monsoon." Which, I mean, there probably should be. Anyways, nice hotel, great staff, just watch for the shower.

One night stay, and all around bad. The room itself was ok, but there was still garbage left from the previous occupant, and the temperature had issues. I followed the instructions to the letter, but I couldn't get the room temp to come past 20 degrees, in December. The bed was aweful. I did not like paying the extra $20 for parking, on top of the room rate. For the room I payed $95, for one night. Then they charged my card an extra $50 on top of everything else, with zero explanation why. So for one night I payed $165, why I could have stayed somewhere better for the same. The proximity to campus wasn't enough to make it worth it. Edit: They apparently pre-charge a damage deposit (the $50) when you check in. This want not explained. It took me two phone calls, and over a week for it to be refunded.

Pretty good hotel located on campus with all standard amenities. Room was clean, and large enough. Location is the number one reason to stay here.

Location is great, right on University Campus. Service was great. And you'll never beat the price.
