This hotel is a must stay for anyone with a dog. From the moment we checked in our two Rottweilers which are total sweet hearts had no shortage of attention from staff and patrons at the hotel everyone was very pet friendly our room was located very close to the not so commonly located pool which made it very easy to pop back to the room and check on the dogs. The atmosphere is very professional and laid back; pool area was very clean, fitness room was also clean, private and well appointed. Shout out to the lady whose name I regretfully didn’t catch who was giving the pups treats at the front desk. There’s also a Astro turf dog area for them to do their business located at the back of the hotel outside but in a covered area with poop bags and a hose. Such a great set up for dog owners cannot say enough about that. Rooms were very clean and not outdated the whole atmosphere in there is very pleasant at any time of day. Complimentary breakfast had lots of options and was good quality.
Great hotel. Nice and clean. Comfy beds. Easy check in. Close to U of C.nnBreakfast was good with ready made eggs, beef sausages, potatoes and pancakes. There was also a press a button to make pancakes. Cut up fruit cantaloupe, honeydew & pineapple, cereal, juice, coffee, toppings for the eggs salsa, onions, green/red peppers, toast, bagels, muffins. Might have been other things I missed. Lots of seating.nnToiletries are large ones attached to the wall, so nice there’s not a lot of wastage. They provide you with a few bottles of water in your room and there is a water station by the lobby.nnPool and sauna is open on 2nd floor of hotel. So you can hear the people in the pool if you decide to hang out in your room. Gym is open 24 hours.nnOnly a few things that could be improved on:nn1 if you need your room completely dark, it’s not going to happen.nn2 the temperature control is “wonky” the fan was constantly kicking in and it was noisy. Ended up turning it off all together and it’s more comfortable without it trying to manage the “perfect” temperature.
The room is cozy. We stayed here for 3 nights. They have “The Pantry” open 24/7 with essentials and cravings.nnThe continental breakfast is buffet style eggs, bacon or sausages, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, juice.nnStaff are friendly.
We really like the Best Western Plus brand and this location was up to snuff. We had a lovely sleep in a quiet, dark, comfortable room, followed by a decent shower and a hearty breakfast. Few things feel like value for the money these days, but our overnight stay here did. Thank you for the hospitality.
Before I forget I want to mention Hivan at the front desk. Absolute pro! Excellent memory and above the board client service. We stayed here for our travel basketball event at the U of C. Good hotel. Good parking and breakfast included was a great touch. We will be back! With twice as many people. See you in June for the next Alley-Oop basketball event at the Olympic Oval.
