Hill Street Depot

Friendly and cute bartender... see photo. I ordered a grinder, a salad and a beer to go. She said, "Not driving are you?" and I said, "If I was I'd have asked for a straw." Anyway when the order was ready to go she handed me the beer in a covered cup with a straw and I walked back to my hotel - also had a friendly chat with one of the other patrons and, all in all, a very nice experience with good food and good people. I'll come back again next time I'm driving through this town.

My husband and I tried out the Hill Street Depot last night. The interior is fun with different older memorabilia on the walls. The booth we sat in had a movie poster for Fast Times at Ridgmont High and a Farrah Faucet pin up poster - can't go wrong with those! We shared a large pretzel with beer cheese that was wonderful!! Not a scrap left. I had the beer brat with sourkraut that I really enjoyed, and my husband had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich that he said was ok. Both came with chips. One of the best parts was the wonderful Porter they had on tap (I don't recall the name), and only $4.50 a pint! We will definitely be returning for beers and to split a pretzel again soon.
