Excellent service! Fantastic food! Awesome atmosphere! The Idaho Nachos are phenomenal, the pies are scrumdillyicious, and the entrees were fantastic! You’re gonna love this place!

What a cool place to go to! Been wanting to stop in for a while, and finally had the chance. I had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, wonderful crosscut fries, and the beer was wonderful. What I had my eye on (but didn't try) was the huge slices of pie they had on display for dessert. Sometime soon, my husband and I will be returning for pie and coffee. Our waitress was wonderful! She was obviously busy, but once she learned we were new to the area, she brought out maps and have us some great ideas of where to go for day trips. We will definitely be returning soon.

This place represents Idaho to the "T" in potato. Great food, excellent staff, and a fantastic, rustic atmosphere. It's a must if your in the silver valley, or even if your not, it's worth a drive.

The full rack of baby back ribs was falling-off-the-bone tender. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We highly recommend it. The cheddar bacon soup was tasty, but the grilled chicken was dry and tough and definitely not worth the money. The sweet potato fries were good. We split a Reuben (almost all their meals could be split). It was piled high with pastrami, but the bread was a bit soggy. The atmosphere was entertaining--the gnarled roots polished and lacquered, the poker-playing dogs poster, the 70's rock and roll, the mismatched tables/chairs/booths as well as the menu with the history of the Snake Pit all added to the feeling of Western independence. We ate there twice. Once we had an experience waitress and were very pleased with the service. The second night we had a young girl who didn't understand that I didn't want a whole meal, just a cup of soup and a glass of wine. Child, do not try to talk me into more food than I want. You don't know what's going on with me and I'd appreciate it if you refrained from judging my eating habits. In spite of this, we'd absolutely go here again and would recommend it to anyone traveling through. It's a hoot with good food.
