Story

The Hi-Lo Cafe in Weed, CA is located just about the right distance between Here and There. Whether we’re your intended destination or your favorite stop along the way to where you’re going, we’ll always make sure your meal is unforgettable and comforting.

Our classic diner-style eatery has been serving up fan favorites to travelers and locals alike since 1951. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner our menu has all of the classic dishes that you know and love. Hearty omelets, fresh salads and soups, flowing coffee, smothered chicken fried steak, fresh wraps, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and locally brewed beer are just some of our popular offerings.

Had a wonderful lunch at this nice little cafe in Weed. It was a perfect stop while we charged our car nearby. Food was delicious and the service friendly and fast. Will definitely be coming back the next time charging in Weed. Thank you for the great service!
The Hi-Lo Cafe is also somewhere I stop when I am passing through Weed. It is a cute little café right when you exit the I5 to the 96. I have passed through here at many different times of the day over the years but most frequently around breakfast/brunch time. This time however we were passing through in the afternoon. We stopped in and we're offered a booth right by the door right when we entered and we're asked if we wanted something cold to drink. The Hostess/server brought our drinks over and gave us some time to decide.nThey had someone working on one of their drink machines so it was a bit loud at the front but not too bad.nI ordered a turkey Club add avocado with a side of fries but was brought a Chicken Avocado Club with fries. Which was excellent so no biggie. My boyfriend got the French Dip which he enjoyed. Their fries were cooked to perfection and we're so delicious.nWe'll be back on our next pass through weed.
A cute little cafe right next to a Tesla supercharger. Food was surprisingly good but the icing on the cake was Bonnie, our server. Despite efficiently manning the front of the house by herself, she kept a friendly face and genuinely fun attitude!nnThe restaurant could benefit from a little interior cleaning and perhaps more hands on deck to help Bonnie :
[VISA WARNING] Sublime visit for brunch 10-12p on Sunday, May 18th in 2025. Ms Kimber’s hospitality was awesome! Sam was super supportive! They both helped us capture a precious family moment of 8 people & 4 fur babies for our hungry crew gathered together to celebrate many things including the life of a lost loved one. I am pleased to say I was happy to unlock my card and bestow compensation well over $100 upon this establishment to benefit the hard working hourly employees.nnDo be warned of possible VISA fraud and abuse at this store. Later this nite at 7:52pm after departing the state, another transaction was attempted for a lesser amount on the same VISA card and declined for being in locked mode. This second transaction has been reported to the bank and Visa as an alert for a pattern of false pre-authorized transactions and the card has been replaced.nnTo error is human. Mistakes happen in the POS world of open checks. Hopefully this attempt is one of those for the benefit of the whole community. Still greatly appreciated the service received and the community followed by some awesome food photos!
What a great place for comfort food. Fresh squeezed orange juice too. Never empty coffee cup. Lotus was are server she is exceptional. Hi-Lo cafe is near the freeway, easy on and off. Street parking and a lot .
