Hearty Cafe Pancake House

Came here with a random decision because I was in the area and wanted breakfast. Standard cafe and pancake house. The food was decent. It was presented nice. It wasn't amazing, but good. They had a good menu and selection of pancakes, crepes, and French toast. 3.5/5. Customer service was the best part of the experience. Very nice lady served us. She never gave her name though. That makes it easier and better to communicate and build a pleasant relationship for the time I'm dining in, but it wasn't a big deal, so I won't dock the score down for it. 5/5. The atmosphere and aesthetic of the establishment was standard. 3.5/5. Overall, 3.5/5 for this Pancake House. It was decent. I would come back.

This restaurant is my wife and I favorite place to go whenever we're in town!! The food is absolutely delicious and we love that they have decorations for all the seasons. We highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5

My entire dish was delicious. My eggs were perfectly scrambled medium, the grits were great after I added my butter and sugar. LOL. Blueberry pancakes are my favorite and they had a good taste and crispy bacon to top it off. It took longer than it should have to get my food. Someone that came in after me was served first and we basically ordered the same thing.

I had a great time eating delicious food at this restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely like that they had a very modern style. Most importantly, every food and drink on their menu tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place. Best price in the area for Breakfast.!!

Very delicious breakfast spot! We had the fried catfish and Louisiana Skillet. Our waiter was super nice and the service was fast. Will definitely be returning!

I ordered an House skillet, with jalapeños… they actual put pickles peppers in my skillet, it should have been fresh peppers. This isn’t for a burger or nachos, it just didn’t make sense to me. When I took the order back, he told me that I have to request fresh jalapeños. They should specify, that there is a choice, fresh or pickled, I just thought it would be common sense for any cook. They replaced the order, but I have yet to eat it. Had to leave a review, I may or may not come back to leave a taste review. Okay… so, I’m back, it was a must that I do, come back. So you know, the restaurant did make the food over, but when I hung up the phone after calling, so when I arrived to return the food, and pick up the food with fresh jalapeños… IT WAS SITTING THERE WAITING, NO FRESHLY MADE PANCAKES, Neither! So, I refused the food, I wanted freshly made food with the pancakes. He nicely agreed to do the order the way I asked. When I returned to my car, after starting this review, I checked my food, just to see how fresh it was the heat on the freshly made pancakes was totally different from the heat on the skillet, the cheese was melted around the container. This skillet wasn’t fresh, this skillet was the skillet that they had sitting waiting for me, and decided to throw in the oven/heater. So at this point I decide, I want a refund, proceed back inside… ask for a refund and he refuses. After trying to trick me into some heated up food. I spent over 40 dollars, two skillets with tax and apples with whipped cream for pancakes. He refunded me $15 for one meal, then tried to curse me out while the same time trying to put me out. He the manager also told me it was my fault they made the skillet with pickled peppers verses fresh. I cook, I know the difference between meals that goes with pickled peppers verses fresh peppers and it’s truly sad that no one in this restaurant, knows food. I proceeded out of the door once he put the $15 on the courter, because I just wanted the situation to be over, but I wasn’t leaving without something. He told me to get out, and don’t come back, which was amazingly funny… I never would come back, and they would never have to worry about me doing so. I’m going to make sure any and everyone I know, never spend money there. My friend said that his meal was just, “okay”… just, okay food, bad customer service, with a lack of knowledge in food, NOT MY MONEY
