DMK Burger Bar

I've been to a lot of excellent burger places, and DMK definitely ranks among the best. The burger we had was exceptional and cooked to perfection, and the fries we had with it were also great. They have a nice selection of beers and wine, and the atmosphere is really laid back. If you're looking for a burger place in the Chicago area, this is a must try.

Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! It has been quite some time since I dined here last and it was my first time trying something other than a burger I don't recall there anything else besides just burgers!. Pictured here is theirs/Fish Bar's Lobster Roll with my option of a Side Salad. Current Market Price was $30, an ok-cost and cravings are hard to kick. Lobster was good, wish there was a bit more. The roll was perfectly and not overly buttered. Service was not so good. I put in a reservation at 6pm just in case for my Husband and I, and as I walk in, the first host/server tells me to "sit anywhere" and of course, that is what I did. A few minutes later, still not approached by any server and was not able to put in an order before Happy Hour ends, another server tells me to transfer seating to another area. The place was not busy and I understand that it was about to be half an hour later. I guess the servers should have communicated. Lack of staff or not, after eating and drinking spotless dishes and glassware, we waited a bit to be approached by our server. Any server for that matter could have said "We'll be with you in a sec," and that would have gone a long way.

I really wanted to try Fish Bar. The two restaurants, Burger Bar and Fish Bar, are connected. The waitress gave me both menus. I ordered Gumbo, which was true to New Orleans, fried shrimp, and a shrimp sandwich. They were all delicious. I've driven by a few times in the summer and saw a crowd of people eating outside. Now I know why - the experience decor and service is great and the food is delicious.

One of a kind, I’m so impressed with the quality of the burger here and how they are innovative with different types of burgers and fries. In love with the bison . Amazing staff and outstanding ambience. This place just right for great food and gathering. The variety of drinks is really satisfying. This will not be my last time here

Perfect food. Excellent service. Good burgers. But THE SWEET POTATOES FRIES WERE TO DIE FOR! You can get an egg for $1 on any burger they usually have a different burger and shake special. Not sure if it’s weekly ? Clean space.

Ordered their Parmesan truffle fries. Seemed stale and flat. Was a big let down. Their okra and pickle fries were pretty good tho. The burgers were simple and Stripped back to their true essence. The buns were pretty badass and fresh. Tried their bison which is their most popular burger. The meat itself was pretty dry but overall was good.

We took a family trip to Chicago and after my lovely wife saw this place on a rerun of #dinersdriveinsanddives we had to check it out. The $15 grass fed beef burgers are only fine and they are so light on the toppings. My burger has a luck of sauce and like 3 over cooked onion pieces. The $7 table fries literally were the saving grace and the only reason for the stars. We looked up the episode and it aired about 10 years ago. It seems like they are riding the tourist/food network fans wave and aren't concerned with repeat business. Some locals did come in, sat at the bar and only ordered fries because they know. So if I were to return it would be ONLY to try the other fries

Good burgers. Fantastic fries. The blue cheese and bacon fries blew me away and so did the cheddar fries. Waitress Zoe was super nice and helpful.

This place was my favorite burger joint. But I will not return to eat here. It was always more expensive, and the portions were small, but the ingredients were good and the patty was perfection. That said, something happened in the last year and the ingredients stop being good as they used to, and the burgers are always overcooked. I update my 5 stars to 1 after getting a "well-done" patty twice while asking them not to overcook it. Without the burger being tasty this place is just an overpriced, small portions low quality overcooked burger joint. What a disappointment. Update 2022: Last time I was here the burger was disappointing in the sense that it was way overcooked. I'm hoping it was a one time thing and so giving this place the benefit of the doubt for now. Older review 2020-2021: Best burger I had in years! Ordered the Grass-Feed Beef with the chili-rubbed onion and amish blue cheese #2. I was a bit hungry after since the portion isn't that big if you you are not a big eater this will be perfect for you, but the price was just. Second time ordered the other Grass-Feed Beef #1 and loved it. Because I knew I would probably want something extra I also ordered the wings blue BBQ which were a let down not the sauce fault, just not good wings. They work together with Fish Bar in a way you can seat in the Fish Bar balcony and order from DMK, which I did

Super friendly staff and amazing food! Price was reasonable and they had also two menus. One for the burger place and one for the fish bar. I can only speak for the burger menu though. I legit drool at the fries which was the angry fries and the best thing Ive ever tasted. The lil dmk burger i got was just enough for me. Usually cant finish but was able to for this one and didnt feel horribly greasy after.
