Harbour View Inn - Mackinac Island, MI

We stayed here with a group of 7, split in 4 rooms in August of 2013. It was such a spectacular stay. The location was wonderful, a little away from the busy main street, but also close enough to the best areas. It's located right by the water. The bedrooms are cute and comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well. Highly recommended!

Older facility with some charm and ambience. Room was comfortable and decent sized. Unfortunately, there are virtually no amenities. No access to hot water (tea, etc), nor refrigeration. The breakfast area is crazy crowded, can barely move around, and the "hot" items aren't! Cold oatmeal in particular. Our room was infested with midges the first night but they did correct the problem. One of the managers was borderline rude, seemed annoyed that anyone expected him to assist them. Still, just being on the island is nice, so overall it was an OK experience but no more.

I stayed here back in June of 2009, one best little getaways ever. The rooms were really clean and cozy, also the staff here are friendly, caring and very helpful. The island is a beautiful place full of history and fun attractions. It's kind of a trip back in time with the Victorian style buildings and horse drawn carriages, which is what brought me there. I hope to one day return for another weekend escape and will most definitely be booking my stay with the Harbor View Inn.

Stayed in the cottage building. It was quite old, but nice. It might not have been the greatest place we ever stayed in, but there wasn't much to complain about, except maybe no Wifi in that building. We had a decent view of the harbor. Even so it was dead quiet at night. We warned there is no air conditioning, but that wasn't an issue for us since the nights were very cool. There were box fans, and we put one in the window.

Very nice! I stayed in the blue house. Everything was great. If you have issues with stairs, be sure to request a 1st floor room.
