Good place to stay. Pretty much just slept there and was out and about throughout the day. We actually stayed at the voyager inn but booked through Bogan.

Not a kid friendly B&B. Beautiful house, would be nice for couples/honeymooners, but not a family with younger kids. lot of breakables and had to share a bathroom. I had called and booked a room for 4, then found out that my daughter could go as well. Called back and change reservation. They called back about a week before our trip and asked if we still needed the room from the original reservation, which i had cancelled. Then when we got there, she said that our room was only for 4, not 5. She did let us stay there, but had to pay extra and was upset saying she lost money because we never cancelled the first reservation!

This is a tiny little B&B on Mackinac Island, off a side street just a short walk from the fort and the main shopping/ferry area. Trish, the owner, is an island native and keeps the Inn open year-round for visitors. There are four bedrooms which share two bathrooms, a small living room with a fireplace for chilly days, and a lovely front porch with rockers for warmer afternoons.
The price includes a simple breakfast, for us Trish had prepared some breads (muffins, scones, and breads) with homemade fruit jams and spreads as well as fresh fruit. There was plenty of tea and coffee as well. As far as I could tell from my reading, it is uncommon (or forbidden?) for an island B&B to serve meats or hot eggs, but our simple breakfast was certainly enough to get us started for the day, and also very tasty! Trish was also ready to help out with simple requests, such as the warm milk our fellow guests needed prepared for their baby.
As an island native, Trish can easily recommend activities or destinations for any interest at any time of year. Check-out time is 10:30, but she is okay with luggage being stored until later if needed. Although children are welcome, pets are not, as Trish has a lovely golden retriever who lives at the B&B (in their personal half of the home). In all, this B&B was small, simple, personal, and an amazing value for the money. I highly recommend giving Trish a call.
